Hi, my name is Patricia and I’m from São Paulo in Brazil. In no particular order, I love cats (they always come first), teaching, travel, photography, and cooking. One of my dreams, since I was a child, was to live overseas for a while. In 2007 I decided to take a break from my job as a travel consultant and I went to New Zealand. My plan was to do an English course and travel around but I liked it so much I ended up staying for 7 years.

我的教學經歷

I became a teacher when I came back to Brazil in 2014. At the same time I started teaching, I took my TESOL course and I’ve been teaching privately ever since. I really appreciate students who are independent and aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone and learn with their own mistakes. And forget what you've heard about learning a second language being difficult as an adult. If you maintain consistency in your studies, you will reach fluency. I started speaking English when I was 30 and I became proficient not long after. If I was able to achieve this as an adult, you can as well.

In my lessons, I use a mix of CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) approach and my personal experience as a language learner. The materials I bring to class contain authentic language and I personalize them according to the student’s needs. I cover general, travel and business English.
