I dedicate 1-2 hours of time surfing the net, not mindlessly, but actively finding interesting reads, videos and pictures. The Internet, I believe, has made learning almost anything for free, so I want to make the most of it. In my free time, I read books, take a walk or play with my cats and my dog. Trying out restaurants is part of my weekend normally with friends or family.

我的教學經歷

Many of my former students say that I'm patient, dedicated and that I maximize class hours to learning and acquiring English. These traits, I believe, are results of trying to understand my students better. In and out of class hours, I do my best to assess students' needs as learners, and as people who wish to be able to communicate. During class hours I make sure that learning objectives are met and students USE THE LANGUAGE A LOT. To communicate is the goal of learning a language after all and USING IT is the best way to learn it! SEND ME A MESSAGE IF YOU WANT TO NEGOTIATE YOUR CLASS HOURS. :)

我的課程內容與教學風格

My lessons are mainly conversational (in the context of general conversation, business, academics, and IELTS). In addition, I do give classes on report and essay writing. A warm-up activity is a must in my class. I start with a very engaging warm-up activity before proceeding to the lesson for the day (formal) or discussing a relevant topic (informal). Throughout the lesson, the students build not only vocabulary resource, grammar, and pronunciation but also their 'reflex' in using the language spontaneously. After class, I provide a summary of the class and ENGLISH TASKS. ENGLISH TASKS -- These are tasks geared to help students develop their English skills after class hours.
