Hello, my name is Emi. I'm from Gifu, Japan. I am a native Japanese speaker. I lived in NY for 5years so I can communicate with you in both Japanese and English. 7 years ago, I travelled to NY with almost no English experience and learnt by communication with native English speakers. I understand how difficult it is to learn a new language and I believe speaking with native speakers is the best way to learn natural communication in your chosen language. I am happy to help you reach your goals. *About availability* Mostly I'm free in afternoon (20:00-22:30)in Japan except Mon and Sat. "Sometimes" my availability changes at last minutes, it's differ depending on my work.

Recently we started practicing Japanese not only by reading but also by listening. Emi sensei sent me a CM which dialogue I had to write down and send to her as homework. I found it helps exposure to the language and culture, and helps me learn words that I wouldn't have otherwise encountered encounter. We also did some reading together and practiced conversation. It's really fun studying with Emi sensei and I'm always looking forward to our next lesson ^_^.

Very professional, and whenever I had something I did not understand in Japanese, her English is perfect and high level, with great pronunciation. Excellent teacher.

She is VERY patient and KIND correcting all my mistakes and explains everything very clearly to me. She goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching! Very awesome teacher!
