Thank you for visiting my profile, you are in the right place! My name is Chie, your Japanese tutor with one-year teaching experience. I'm a PhD candidate in Literature and very passionate about everything related to languages. I've also started working on my second MA in Applied Linguistics. Whether you are interested in conversation practice or step-by-step grammar study, I hope you will fully enjoy the opportunity to improve your Japanese with a proper assistance of an academic person while having fun conversation as well! ・はじめまして！わたしのなまえは、ちえです。にほんごのせんせいです。・大学院では、文学と言語学を専攻しています。言葉や文化について学ぶことが好きです。・現在は博士課程に在籍しており、日本の最高水準の教育を受けてまいりました。文化や歴史、現代社会の問題など様々な話題について、深い議論の場を提供させて頂きたいと思います。

我的教學經歷

I promise that having a linguistics major as your tutor will make your experience very unique! Also, having chosen education as a sub-major, I have a decent background in teaching. I have a qualification as a high school teacher and I’ve also had an official training to teach Japanese grammar. I've been helping language learners from beginners to advanced level speakers and am fully aware of the necessities that students may have. While on one hand I'm a scholar type of person who likes technical aspects of languages, on the other hand I have a mild character and like hearing jokes. Please share what you are keen on, I’m happy to discuss any kind of topic with you!

Chie-san is extremely patient and always upbeat. Out of the teachers I have had on the platform, she is definitely one of the better ones. She knows her theory well, all the way up to N1, and can explain all the challenging bits in English. She's able to both challenge you with some grammar questions and play the role of splendid interlocutor in conversation-driven classes. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bring their Japanese to the next level, or to its absolute limit!
