We love Lellah! She is always so patient with my kids' quirks and insecurities, and so encouraging, too! It is wonderful to see them grow in their Serbian skills. :)

I was lucky when I found Lellah on iTalki. We have interesting and inspirative lessons always in a good atmosphere. Also, Lellah teaches my 13 years old son too, and the best is when I hear from my son's room during the skype lessons that he laughs aloud and speaks a lot. This course of Serbian Language and Literature which relies on Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) covers learning and writing in Serbian Language, grammar, conversation, discussions. Its aim is to build up your reading and writing skills and strengthen your speaking skills. It is meant for teaching Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students - levels A1 all through C2. Lessons taught in both English and Serbian, or Serbian only (for Intermediate and Advanced students). Name your topic or area of interest - I will give my best and you'll know it!

Zdravo, ja sam Lela. Kako si ti? Speak with confidence from Day 1! I will provide you with plenty of materials, so when you come to Serbia you will get the chance to practice all the things we did in our lessons. This course is also an excellent practice if you are planning on taking an International Speaking Skills Test.
Audio recordings on separate topics available on request! For more information on this, kindly send me a private message, as I will make a customized audio package based on your needs and chosen topics. These will be followed by the appropriate transcript. Therefore, kindly ask for the materials beforehand. These packages ( 30 minutes x 5 lessons) are designed as regular lessons.

In this course of Serbian Language and Literature which relies on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) I will cover:

Conversational Serbian ( through real-life situations accompanied with the appropriate vocabulary and expressions you will find quite useful in an everyday spoken language), through movies, music, poems and songs, daily life scenes, pictures describing, etc. An audio recording of the text/ dialogue/ speaking available on request.
2. Writing and reading - inspiring articles and texts from Serbian history and literature will guide us through this section.
3. History of the Serbian language, folklore, myths of old Serbs and Slavic people, national poems, monasteries and much more.
4. All of the above
Depending on the time you have available on a daily basis and on your choice of subject, the material can be divided according to your desire.
It is meant for teaching Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students - levels A1 all through C2. Lessons taught in both English and Serbian, or Serbian only (for Intermediate and Advanced students).

Intensive Speaking Course

In this course of English Language and Literature which relies on Communicative approach I will cover:
1. Conversational English( through real-life situations accompanied with the appropriate vocabulary and expressions you will find of essence in an everyday spoken language), through movies, music, poems and song, daily life scenes, pictures describing, etc. *** Tongue twisters and proverbs***
2. Writing and reading - inspiring articles and text from English history and literature will guide us through this section.
3. Business English (IT, engineering - dialogues, grammar, and articles)
4. All of the above
Depending on the time you have available on daily basis and on your choice of subject, the material can be divided according to your desire.
It is meant for teaching Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students.

Intensive Course

Razgovori o svemu, svačemu i ničemu (Serbian Cafe)

With the support of my dear students, I have devised this course with one thought in mind: to form small groups who will talk - in Serbian. The idea is for the groups never to consist of same people, so we can have the opportunity to talk and listen to different people, different accents, speaking speeds, discuss and share our different views.
Students from around the world will meet once a week, get to know each other through the variety of topics. To name just a few common ones: food, music, films, travel, etc. We will read stories and articles, watch short episodes of some popular shows, listen to music and - talk about it. 
In the beginning, the meetings will take place every Friday and I will be posting information on my page, here or through Skype.

I graduated from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. I have been teaching English and Serbian language for over 10 years now. I worked in public, private and online schools of English, I teach English to children and adults and give classes of Serbian to foreign students at my home as well. In my English classes we focus on discussions and through music, videos, articles and contemporary arts we work on strengthening up your speaking, writing and listening skills and build up on your vocabulary enormously. In my Serbian classes, we travel through time and history, culture, Serbian cuisine and learn to read, write and build simple sentences FROM DAY 1! Communicative approach ensures that through real life situations you get the deeper understanding of the language and put the structures and new expressions into use almost immediately. When I plan the lesson, I think as a learner - I never write the boring stuff! :-  I am not saying there will be no exercises, though. :-
