My name is Dorit, born and raised in Israel, and moved to the US as an adult, where I acquired 17 years of experience in teaching Hebrew as a second language. I have taught children from the age of 6 (1st grade) to 14 (8th grade), as well as teenagers and adults. I've also prepared children for the Regents exam which is a mastery exam and a requirement for college in NY. Over the years I have taught everything from one-on-one to big groups. I tailor my lessons to the student's individual needs and interests (food, history, science, etc.), and specialize in teaching about Israel as well. 我的教學經歷

I tailor my classes to the individual student - the content and material I bring are chosen according to what you express interest in. So if you are interested in astronomy, we will learn Hebrew using astronomy; and if you want to read the Bible, we will do that. I really enjoy teaching people about Israel and Judaism, and so I also have an array of materials about these subjects. In addition I've created short recorded stories, accompanied by a PDF and a dictionary, where the student learns verb conjugation, sentence structure and vocabulary, while listening to stories.

I am a people's person, and as such many of my students became my friends. However, I still make them work and advance their Hebrew. In our lessons we talk and we read. Homework is where we review and read and write.

TeacherPrivate Tutoring - Albany, 美國I taught individuals and small groups - both children, adults, and mixed groups. Most of the individuals and groups worked with me for at least two years.

After 3 lessons with Dorit, there is no doubt to me that she is a very dedicated and experienced teacher who knows everything about teaching Hebrew. She was incredibly patient, empathic, and able to tailor her lessons according to my needs. Moreover, she is a very engaging and interesting person. It is just a lot of fun having lessons with her.
