Knock, knock. Who’s there? Tosin. Tosin who? Tosin your teacher! That was cheesy, I know. But let’s just say that you’ll hardly find a teacher that’s as fun and professional as I am. If you want to let your hair down and speak English as if you’re talking to a friend, you’re at the right place. I would like to tell you that I’m a polyglot who speaks 10 languages but that’s not true. However, it’s not for lack of trying. I used to stare at French flashcards for hours and repeatedly fail at differentiating the four tones in Chinese. Then, I came across iTalki. My experience as a student has taught me a lot and I’ve refined my learning method and developed my teaching style.

I’ve been teaching English and Yoruba online for five years and I have experience teaching all sorts of lessons. My IELTS preparation certificate means I’m trained to help you ace your IELTS exam. I’m also a certified teacher of English as a Second Language. Whether you need help polishing up an essay or preparing for an exam, I’m your woman. I’ve worked as an English and Literature teacher in a high school, as an editor for a journal, and also as a journalist. So, I’ve seen your mistakes and struggles before and I can help. It’s about you and getting you fluent. Let’s get started.

“If you were 80 and had the opportunity to have cosmetic surgery that would make you look exactly as you looked at 20, would you do it?” This question has some verb forms and grammar that students struggle with. Yet, a lot of people would like to share their opinion about the question. We’ll bypass boring grammar lessons and find a way for you to communicate. I structure my lessons around interesting facts and topics and give you resources that will make you think and educate you. You’ll discover that you’re speaking English or Yoruba more than you ever have. Your language skills will grow organically and go from beginner to native-like fluency.
