Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Pier Paola e Insegno italiano agli stranieri (adulti e bambini) dal 2009. Ho vissuto e lavorato all'estero (Russia, Estonia e Australia).

Comprendo a pieno la difficoltà di imparare lingue nuove. Con me, non avrete semplicemente una lezione frontale, ma un vero dialogo pratico dove ci scambiamo idee, esperienze e conoscenze che rende l’apprendimento di una lingua possibile e divertente. Languages, under any perspective, are my main passion, and Italian is the common theme of my academic studies, my working experiences and many of my hobbies. During the last 8 years I have been teaching Italian as L2 both in Italy and Spain and it is a privilege to see my students improving their skills with time.

I've been a teacher for six years and I do believe that the most important thing is to empathize with the students, which implies these three things: - The student feels at ease during the lesson. - I can adapt to every need the student has. - The lesson is tailor-made.

Together we will try to find a method that best suits your needs. Each person is different and we learn in different ways, so it’s very important to be flexible. I will try to create a relaxed atmosphere where we can talk easily. I am a very patient girl, I will listen to you carefully and correct your mistakes, thus helping you improve your Italian.

I have been teaching on italki since 2018 and I have lots of experience with students of all ages, all abilities and all confidence levels: even complete beginners. My number 1 priority is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during each and every lesson. Sessions will be tailored to your exact needs and I can help you with grammar, exam preparation, give you practice exercises, or we can simply talk. Working as a teacher with many different students and learning styles forces me to adapt my materials and subjects to each and every person I have in front of me. Therefore teaching is never boring! I realised that students are mainly interested in conversation and developing the speaking tips that are so important to get through a real situation with native speakers. So, in my (our) lessons the student will be the one speaking, the main character who, with my guidance, will be able to find a way to express him/herself in a new language!

I like to talk about everything, including current events, history, literature, music, passions and hobbies. Through dialogue I will help to improve the spoken and written Italian language for both beginner and advanced students, teach grammar and correct pronunciation and help students achieve their linguistic goals. I love teaching and I can't wait to help you!

I'm a very patient teacher. During my elementary school teaching experience, I learned patience and understanding are the keys to success. I love my students to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their difficulties - I had to learn languages myself, so I know how challenging it can be. My students would probably also say I like having fun while teaching :) I love teaching adults, but also teenagers and children. I do different works based on the student's level and age.

Ho varie esperienze con ragazzi: li ho aiutati a preparare diverse materie scolastiche tra cui spagnolo e italiano. Ho frequentato il corso di formazione di base di ELE (insegnamento dello spagnolo come lingua straniera) presso l'Instituto Cervantes di Roma. I have experience with kids: I helped them studying different subjects, including Spanish and Italian. I attended a basic ELE course (teaching spanish as foreign language) at the Instituto Cervantes in Rome.

I am a teacher who tries to understand the needs of the student, I am friendly and kind and I try to convey passion during the lesson.

My goal is to create a friendly environment where you can practice Italian in any possible form. My lessons will be interactive and fun, to maintain your motivation strong and to increase your confidence in the language. You will learn at your own pace, with my help. You choose the difficulty, I will find the words. No worries, no judgment. If you're just starting and you don't know many Italian words, don't worry! In the beginning, we can speak English. In this way, you are going to quickly adapt to the language to then be able to speak only in Italian.

Usually at the very beginning I will assess your language level, to make sure that the materials we’re going to be using during the course can actually be suitable and useful for your needs. I’m very patient and always try to create an enjoyable lesson.

Insegno alla Dante Alighieri di Palermo, tengo da anni lezioni su Skype e ho fatto diverse volte esperienze di homestay a casa mia: gli studenti di tutto il mondo sono ospiti nel mio appartamento, vivono con me e la mia famiglia e imparano l'italiano facendo con me un corso intensivo di lingua italiana. Sono contraria ai vecchi metodi di insegnamento quando l'insegnante era il centro della lezione. Mi piace che lo studente sia il protagonista del processo di apprendimento della lingua. E per farlo deve divertirsi! Deve appassionarsi, vivere la lezione come un momento importante di crescita. Come insegnante, devo guidarlo in questo processo ascoltando le sue necessità e richieste.

For our lessons I’ll choose among a selection of textbooks written by professional authors. The choice will be based on many factors: your current level, your native language and its distance from the target language, your goals and learning style. If you need to reinforce some topics I’ll add extra activities to the lessons or as homework. Homework is not compulsory, but please keep in mind that learning a language is fun and effective only when both the student and the teacher put some effort into it. I’m very happy to teach students with different needs, from beginners who have never learned a second language to advanced students who are looking for serious, structured teaching.

I've been teaching for 2 years in a high school in the morning and some language schools in the afternoon. I also gave some private classes to students that needed to improve their school marks or were preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate. Due to the fact I love studying languages myself, I feel I have the tools to understand how different people learn, and that learning should be interesting and fun. It is for this reason that I welcome suggestions and requests from students to enable me to adapt every single class towards what the student wants.
