Quattro anni fa ho cominciato ad insegnare giapponese in Italia ai livelli A1-A2 fino all'inizio del B1 con l'obiettivo di superare esami universitari di lingua e i primi due livelli degli esami ufficiali di lingua giapponese (JLPT). In Giappone ho frequentato un'università dove c'era un dipartimento dedicato al canto lirico. Lì ho avuto modo di aiutare alcuni studenti ed insegnanti a praticare l'italiano conversando insieme. La mia laurea mi specializza nella comunicazione tra culture diverse, ma avendo come base di partenza la Linguistica ho conoscenze non specialistiche anche nell'insegnamento di una lingua straniera.

During my stay abroad I have always helped friends who were struggling to learn Italian and now it has become my job. Currently I am giving private lessons of Italian, English and Japanese to students from Elementary school to University and I love it right because every time it is a different challenge.

I tend to be demanding with my students, but laid-back at the same time. I want my students to make the best, pressuring the students so as they can achieve their goals. I am also very accommodating, adapting my way of teaching and the language of instruction (Italian, English or Spanish) according to the preferences of the student. I am quite honest. This means that I might sound a bit direct sometimes, but when I tell you "your Italian has really improved! You could even have a job interview now!", well, I really mean it. Every time I meet a new person I am surprised by the richness that the comparison and encounter with other cultures brings with it and this has always been what has moved me to travel and explore other languages ​​and new forms of communication. I lived (apart from Italy and Spain) in Australia and in South East Asia for about a year where I was exchanging convarsation practice with other people from different countries. I speak Italian, Spanish, English and a little bit of French. They are all languages ​​that I have learned almost entirely by speaking, in everyday situations, by entering into relationships with other people and for this I believe in the power of conversation.

I graduated in Modern Languages, Culture and Translation (Spanish and English). I've had some experiences as teacher and as tutor, I've been a private english tutor for teenagers and, during my university years, thanks to a university association, I also had the opportunity to work in a Finnish High School in the Finnish Lapland for two months as Italian teacher. It was a great experience! I studied from zero (and I'm actually studying) also Russian and Finnish that are pretty different from the other languages I already knew before, so I know that it can be difficult and frustrating sometimes but it can be also really interesting and fun!

In November 2017 I obtained the certification "DITALS Level I" which qualifies me to teach Italian as a foreign language or second language to foreign adults (18 years and older) of any nationality and for any level you choose to reach. I attended a 30-hour training course at the Accademia Italiana in Salerno (a Ditals-certified institution) where I did an 82-hour internship in Italian classes for foreigners. Since then I have had many teaching experiences. In addition, with the onset of the pandemic, I did 80 hours of online teaching at a private school of Italian for foreigners to prepare for distance teaching, mainly via Zoom and Skype.

My teaching experience is mostly related to Spanish and English tutoring to Italian middle and high school students, as well as Italian tutoring to South Korean university students living in Italy: in both cases, it's very rewarding and I tried to put my students at ease as much as possible - as I'd do with you! I usually don't give homework but I like suggesting activities you can do while reviewing for the next lesson - and I you need me to review them, don't hesitate to ask!

Ho iniziato a insegnare italiano nel 2016 all'Asociación Dante Alighieri di Málaga, e da allora non ho mai smesso! Il mio motto è "non smettere mai di imparare", ed è quello che cerco di trasmettere a tutti i miei studenti (oltre all'amore per l'italiano, certo!).

Il mio percorso come insegnante di italiano inizia nel 2007, dopo la Laurea in Scienze Politiche e un Master in Cooperazione Internazionale e Immigrazione a Firenze: mi sono trovata a insegnare italiano a immigrati e l'esperienza mi ha cosi coinvolto che ho deciso di studiare per diventare un'insegnante certificata di italiano per stranieri. Così è stato e nel 2008 ho subito iniziato a lavorare in una scuola italiana a Buenos Aires e nel 2012 nella scuola Dante Alighieri di Quito. Attualmente lavoro come insegnante d'italiano freelance in alcune aziende italiane. Un'esperienza variegata insomma, che mi ha arricchito tantissimo e che voglio continuare a condividere con tutti i miei studenti!
