I have been teaching German since 2014. I will design the lessons according to your needs. Since 2007, I have been teaching German as a foreign language in Taipei, Taiwan to Chinese native speakers. Because I had had an interest in the Chinese language and culture for many years, in 2005 I moved to Taiwan to learn Mandarin Chinese. At some point during my stay I had to start looking for work and ended up teaching German at a local language center. Right from the start I loved teaching German and since then have kept on working as a language instructor with a passion, gaining experience over the years and keeping up with improving my skills and expanding my knowledge up to this day.

Before iTalki, I volunteered to teach German and Math to Syrian refugees in refugee camps. It was there that I've discovered that I love teaching. --- I follow my own Teaching Philosophy: My goal is to teach you how to teach yourself a language with the tools I have provided here. Essentially, I want to make you an independent learner - an autodidact/self-learner - who can master the German language largely on his own in his spare time: Consequently, I do believe that your progress depends largely on you. As a passionate Language Teacher and Learner, I worked as a private tutor to teach my foreign friends and cliental Chinese, and at the same time teach my chinese friends German. I am a Person of communicativness and Curiosity , so I often encourage my students to keep practicing from the very beginning, and don't be afraid to make mistakes! I have recently completed the 180 Hour TEFL Course. I have been teaching German online. When I lived in Germany, we learned that the best way to improve your language skills is to speak. Similarly as a teacher, I believe interacting and speaking a language improves confidence and builds vocabulary.

I see myself as a coach more than as a tutor or a teacher. This is because of my extensive experience, where I learned that language learners improve much better if they feel themselves in a secure setting, where they are not judged but counselled, where they can speak openly without limits about whatever crosses their minds. It’s in such a setting where creative and intuitive learning comes into play, which makes the process an enjoyable experience. And this is the point where language learning gets on a track where motivation never lacks, because learning is fun and satisfying. I teach Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian, French, Dutch, Catalan, Portuguese, Greek, Hindi, Arabic and Esperanto (at different levels). I specialise in multilingual teaching (up to 10 languages in one course) and I am a certified language examiner for English, Italian, Russian, French, German and Spanish. I hold an MA in International Communication, an MA in Didactics, two BAs in Translating and Interpreting and a CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults).
