Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. Zu meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern gehörten Kinder, Jugendliche, Studenten und Erwachsene auf allen Niveaustufen. Ich sehe mich nicht nur als Sprachlehrende, sondern auch als Vermittlerin landeskundlicher Aspekte und als zertifizierte Goethe- Telc- und TestDaF-Prüferin und -Bewerterin gehört auch Prüfungsvorbereitung zu meinem Repertoire.

I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. Because it for sure takes work to learn a language, and I would love to help others reaching their goals.

I have helped many people learn languages and did it as a part-time job in my years of High School. Since I also did an exchange to the US, I am fully capable of speaking English as well which will help me translate it to international students from all over the world.

As I am from northern Germany, I have a big advantage over other German teachers. I speak "Hochdeutsch", which is a dialect and accent free version of German. Everybody will be able to understand you and you will be capable of understanding everyone, when you learn with me. Especially in the south and east people have strong dialects, which are not very easy to understand, even for natives. As I am becoming a teacher myself and am studying this subject at the university, I know what is important and what is not, in order to learn German fluently.

Before iTalki, I volunteered to teach German and Math to Syrian refugees in refugee camps. I learned German myself just by using italki and have met several teachers, both professional and community tutors, and not just with native speakers, but also with non-natives. I have been a volunteer German tutor since 2017 and have worked with individuals aged 13 and above ranging from beginner to advanced language level. I am also happy to help with exam preparation, and provide guidance on specific tasks and proofread your work (texts, essays etc.) or help with improving your writing style, vocabulary and grammar.

Ich habe an der LMU München u.a. das Fach "Deutsch als Fremdsprache" studiert. Während meines Studiums habe ich ein Auslandspraktikum am Goethe Institut in Rio de Janeiro absolviert. Ich habe bereits für zahlreiche Sprachschulen und Firmen in München unterrichtet. Seit 2015 bin ich selbstständige Deutschlehrerin und habe mich auf Business-Deutsch spezialisiert.

I am a very intuitive person and also very communicative. For me the essence of really mastering a language is showing in conversation and communication. That's why I focus on strengthening the confidence and comfort speaking the language the most. Of course I get into grammar, vocabulary and expression, but I take a playful approach with exercises and talking about your interests and areas you want to improve in. You can expect homework assignments and also individualized worksheets, if you wish. I'm very adaptable and bring fun into the learning process!

German, English or Swahili; speaking is the easiest way to learning a language. It is best for you to state your language needs so as we may work around that.
