My majors are English Language and Korean as a foreign language. I was fascinated to teach what I know while I was an English teacher in Korea for four years and I learned how to pour love to my students by spending quality time. Moreover, teaching Korean at the university in the USA made me feel more proud of what I am doing as a native speaker. As a teacher, I consider communication as well as knowledge as the top priority to know what students are struggling with and help with it properly. As a language learner, I prefer to learn grammar, but I found out that it is not helping me to speak fluently because the knowledge of grammar stops me from speaking in the language freely. So my class will be more focused on real-life conversations, then supported with the grammars related to them. As always today's lesson also went by too quickly! After a quick recap of the last lessons through roleplay conversations we went on to cover the new topics of how to tell the time and place of events. Thanks to the lightweight style of teaching her lessons and the helpful quizlet flashcards I am advancing quickly but at the same time with great fun!
