My major at university was language education and Japanese linguistics, and learned to be a Japanese teacher.
When I was a student, I tutored international students, and joined the Japanese teaching training program in Australia and taught Japanese at local school.
After graduation, I moved to Singapore and had worked as a Japanese teacher for about 7 years until March 2020.
I have taught Japanese from Basic to Advanced, N5 to N1 level there.
I only used Japanese when I taught at school, but I taught Japanese in English for on-site training of other Japanese companies in Singapore and private lessons. บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
・Let's talk in Japanese about various topics and learn new vocabulary and grammar by talking.
・Main goal of my lessons is to have fun learning Japanese!
・My lessons are flexible, so please let me know what and how you want to learn.
(ex. general conversation practice, lessons using textbooks like Minna no Nihongo, preparation for JLPT exams)
・Lessons are mainly taught in Japanese, but explanations about grammar and vocabulary can be done in English by students' request.5.0

I learnt so much today from just dissecting one instagram post with Shiori sensei today. It was full of grammatical structures I tend to struggle with and Shiori sensei very patiently allowed me to "think aloud" in front of her as I slowly figured it out, while offering detailed hints to guide me along. So grateful!:)

Shiori sensei is a very dedicated teacher and she helped me with some very difficult Japanese texts I was going through today. She was patient, detailed and always motivated to help me understand the sentences as thoroughly as possible. しおり先生、いつもありがとうございます！

Shiori sensei planned a wonderful lesson for me today which included example sentences where I would frequently be confused with. This really helped clarify the tiny differences between particles or certain expressions that I tend to struggle with. Thank you for such a detailed and enriching lesson today! :)
