I focus on everyday English, culture of the English speaking world, English for specific purposes and have taught international university students in the US, with a focus on essay writing. I taught in France at university level (literature, creative writing, Anglophone media). Most recently, I have taught communicative English, IELTS preparation, Business English for corporate classes, including one-to-one lessons. I came to foreign language teaching as a foreign language student (speaking Spanish as a child at home and school) and starting French as a complete beginner at 17 in Quebec. Needs analysis: I always find out what the students want and how to get there (e.g. a student who wishes to study abroad in an English speaking university also needs help with application letters, identifying the most appropriate university, cultural assimilation – I believe in a holistic approach to student learning)
Pre-requisites: can teach students of all levels, assured that the students are realistic about their goals and committed to productive language learning, hard work and enthusiasm; classes are a chance to communicate Focus: may be on speaking proficiency (a ‘flipped approach’ to the classroom); classroom time consolidates knowledge acquired outside of the classroomสื่อการสอนของฉัน
