As a teacher I am positive, encouraging and dedicated. I am thorough in my approach, whilst still ensuring my lessons feel light and approachable. At my school, I am a popular teacher not just for my outgoing personality but primarily for the results and progress that my students achieve under my guidance. My lessons are fun and friendly, and leave my students with a motivated attitude. I love the 'eureka' moments in my students when they fully grasp a concept we have been working on, but above all I enjoy the two-way interaction and the moments shared. My lessons focus on the individual needs of the students, and are tailored around a communicative approach. Grammar is also taught using a communicative approach in which I convey and check understanding through a variety of methods. In conversation classes, I make use of lots of resources including current and relevant video clips and news articles, or I incorporate projects or games relating to a particular language point, transporting it off the page and making it more three-dimensional. I like to have a lot of fun in lessons, and convey my own personality and passion for language learning so that my students can feel at ease.
