My experience as a language tutor mainly consists of the almost 5000 lessons I have had the chance to provide on this website over the past few years. Since I am a community tutor, my lessons are mostly *informal* and less structured than a professional teacher but I offer all types of lessons. J'ai enseigné le français à l'université pour divers niveaux, la littérature française et l'histoire de France. J'ai aussi préparé des étudiants à partir en échange en France et à passer le DELF. Mon but est que vous preniez confiance en vous dans votre pratique du français tout en utilisant le français contemporain et les expressions véritablement utilisées par les français. J'ai déjà enseigné le français dans des écoles privées et j'aime la pédagogie. I have already taught French in private schools and I like the pedagogy. Cela fait maintenant plus d'un an que j'enseigne le français lors de mes voyages. Je m'assure que les cours correspondent à vos besoins et à vos désirs. My goal is to help people reach their goals as they learn a new language. I have been a language learner, and I know the challenges that you can meet as you strive to learn a new language. My experiences as a language learner and a language teacher can benefit you in a meaningful way.

My policy: I respect your time, I expect you to respect mine. I accept rescheduling and the cancelling of lessons 2 hours before the class. I will not reschedule a class you missed, though in case of emergencies, I obviously will understand. Things happen. I have been tutoring for two years, though this is my first year on Italki. Teaching French was never on my agenda, at least not as a part time job. I have always wanted to be a doctor, and though I am studying to become one, I have some spare time where I can teach people French. My love for languages has made it so that teaching French is more fun than work. I also believe learning French should come with a positive attitude.

To me, learning should be exciting and not boring! It should come together with learning about the culture and the REAL FRENCH LANGUAGE talked everyday by French people, not only the one you find in books. I started teaching as I was finishing my Master degree back in 2012. I have a bachelor degree in history and a master degree in communication, I am currently working in the media / advertising field. In my classes, we will mainly focus on conversation. We will spend our first class learning a bit about you, your goals and your current level in French. We can discuss any topic of your choice, I am myself interested in: travel, learning languages, music, movies, fashion, history, cultural differences. I will be glad to discuss about the communication / media fields as well.

I want students to enjoy learning. It has to be something in which they are willing to participate. I try to make most of my classes as entertaining as I can by finding topics in which the students will find an interest. Once the content is interesting, then the form (the structure, the vocabulary, the idioms etc.) will come more and more naturally and intuitively. I am very open minded and try to put myself in the students' shoes as much as possible and, as a learner myself, I can relate to the needs and obstacles someone might face in the process of learning.

I know what it's like to learn foreign languages, so I try to make my lessons clear, interesting and funny. We will learn not only the language but also talk about the culture, curiosities and stereotypes.

My Spanish lessons have CLEAR goals, unlike most iTalki lessons. Most students continue with a teacher until they get bored or realize they are not improving fast enough, and then they move on and repeat the process again with a new teacher. Then, 2 years later, they wonder why their Spanish hasn’t improved much. Does that sound like you?  I'm NOT about having fun.

I am qualified to teach French as a second and as a native language at all grade levels in school and have taught at University. I am a certified teacher in Canada (OCT) and England (QTS). I hold a BA in French (4 years), an MA in French, and a BEd in High School (Secondary) French as a second language (FSL) with a course on ESL. I hold additional qualifications in elementary (Primary) teaching and in French as a native language, and an Honour Specialist in French language teaching. I have formally studied the entire evolution of French beginning with Latin, then Old and Middle French, with a focus on modern European standard French. I am also proud to be very familiar with Québécois.

J'ai récemment commencé à enseigner la langue bulgare à certains de mes amis français qui sont intéressés à la Bulgarie et à la culture bulgare. Aussi j'enseigne le français à certains de mes amis bulgares dont le niveau est débutant. От скоро започнах да преподавам български език на някои мои приятели французи, които искат да се запознаят с българската култура и традиций, а някои от тях дори вече са посещавали България. Също така преподавам френски език и помагам в изучаването му, на начално ниво, на мои близки и приятели.
