Teaching has never been on my list of jobs to do. I would find it exhausting and tedious, especially when kids were involved. Never have I been so wrong! Hi, I have experience teaching all ages (5-65) and many types of students (beginners, university linguistic majors, businessmen, casual speakers). I design my lessons for students to feel more comfortable. so that it will be helpful to start speaking their target language till the first day. I have helped students speak fluently Hindi and Punjabi. I can help you in everything including pronunciations speaking reading writing and grammar. I stress that all my students start speaking their target language till the first day itself and I don't want my students to waste their time on futile exercises. I also believe that a fun-loving and stress-free environment conducive to learning any language.

As a teacher I’m guided by a line from Don Quijote, “Cada uno es hijo de sus obras.” (“We are all the children of our accomplishments.”) and an anthropological observation that “education is identity change.” Learning is more than the acquisition of new skills, it’s the emergence of a new identity. I first saw it in my dissertation research, and then I began to see it everywhere. Learning anything new, especially another language, means becoming someone new. I enjoy reflecting upon language, and I encourage my students to do so, not only to learn Spanish, but also to discover things about their own native language. As a teacher, I consider myself creative and practical, I can come up with activities and exercises on the spot to make my lessons more dynamic and fun, and I try to keep things simple and clear when a student is having a hard time with a topic that is difficult to understand. I know some topics can be harder than others, and not all students learn at the same pace, which is why I'm also very patient and respectful of my students' learning needs.

I have been involved in education since 2008 when I started working in the performing arts department of a local secondary school. I soon moved into teaching and supporting students in English lessons, among others, and helped many children achieve their GCSEs in English Literature and English Language. Following that, I have worked in a number of local primary schools, teaching English, Maths and Foundation subjects. Recently I have moved into one to one tutoring of English full time. I am also a course writer for a Taiwanese English language company. I have written Practical English courses aimed at CEFR B2 and C1 levels, and am now writing an Elementary Business English course.
