Hello! I'm currently available for help with proofreading and editing assignments, or for students who want irregular lessons. I’m a native speaker of English who was born and raised in the state of New York in the USA. I have three services on Italki: first, I teach professional formal and informal English lessons, second, I help with proofreading and editing, and third, I help with translation from Russian to English. I understand the Russian language and have lived in Russian-speaking countries, which can be helpful for Russian-speaking students.

My whole life has been about learning languages. From a young age a grew up in a home speaking both English and Spanish. I taught myself Korean and Japanese at 13 years old! Later, in school I also studied Portuguese, French, and Italian! I have worked with various methods of language learning as a student and as a teacher. I do not believe students should be memorizing long lists of vocabulary or giving boring, repetitive and useless tasks because that has never worked for me. All of these experiences learning different languages, along with my education, has given me the chance to understand language in a very unique way and deliver effective classes that work for all students.

I lived in Russia for 5 years, so I specialise in teaching Russian speaking students - I know what difficulties you have and I understand a lot of your culture! I am CELTA qualified and have worked in a few language schools, but I mainly taught privately in Moscow. I now live in Germany and work completely online - teaching adults and children of all levels.

I'm a very passionate and caring teacher. I've had the chance to teach students from different levels, ages and nationalities. I started teaching 3 years ago, since my freshman year in university to gain experience and confidence and I'm glad to realize that I have made progess in this field. About one year ago, as part of the mandatory internship, I took part in a programm where I taught Spanish to foreign students from all over the world, since then I enjoy sharing my language and culture.

Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I’m enthusiastic, patient and totally committed to my students and their learning. I’m convinced that, with passion and discipline, everyone can achieve their goals. The most important thing for me is that you learn at your own pace and have fun while doing it. Since starting as a private tutor over 30 years ago, my hundreds of satisfied students, who I have helped to to develop both their spoken and written English, are a testament that my system works. I am graduated from UAEM, which is the most important University in the state where I live, and even before I finished my bachelor’s degree, I started to teach English in two primary schools. After that, I’ve taught kids, preteens, young adults and adults. I've given General English from very beginner students up to upper intermediate students. On the other hand, I also have experience helping graduated students to write their academic texts in English and Spanish. In addition, I have given reading comprehension courses to students in order to pass their reading exams in their universities (in English and Spanish) Currently I continue working as a teacher.

Lots of people use the word “bubbly” when they talk about me, which means that I am always smiling and laughing, and have a positive attitude. While this is true, I am also a very serious teacher who works hard to provide my students with the tools they need to successfully learn the language.

Teaching has been a long term passion of mine. With my clear British accent, educational background, patience and overall enthusiasm for learning languages, I am sure to be a useful tool in your English learning journey. I have a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, a recognised teaching qualification for post-16 learners in the UK. My career ambition is to teach higher education and conduct research in universities after completing my PhD. I have a wealth of experience in teaching and supporting students of a variety of ages. I have also taught English abroad.

I have been teaching English for 5 years, starting by tutoring my classmates and helping them pass their International Cambridge Exams. I recently acquired a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate, which gave me the tools and skills to help my students learn English in an efficient way. Even though I speak English fluently, I sat for three Cambridge exams, passing them all with A. Having first-hand experience on these exams has given me the abilities and skills necessary to help other people prepare themselves for them.

I am a nice, friendly, patient teacher who will try to help you in any way I can. I love talking to people and seeing my students progress. As someone who has been through the process of learning a new language many times, I have developed a good understanding of what works best and what doesn't and I will communicate all of that to you.

I have been teaching on Italki for almost four years now. I can look back on teaching people from dozens of countries around the world. Young, old, children, teenagers, business people, students - people from all kinds of cultures and with unique expectations. Additionally, I had been a student myself on Italki for about another two years before. I know how it feels like to attend your first lesson ever and what you need to have a fun, enjoyable and worthwhile lesson. Anyone is welcome and I would love to be your German teacher, too.

I'm a teacher at heart. Whatever i do, i teach. Whether that be building a puzzle with my children or asking my husband to wash the dishes (but that one doesn't always go down so well). I love getting to the core of things and communicating that to others. Therefore my approach is that of believing in you, respecting your efforts and helping you stay motivated to get better and better with your skills every day. I would describe my approach as student-led. You decide where you want to be and I show you ways to get there efficiently.

While I was taking my Undergraduate Degree, I started teaching English as a part-time job. When I graduated, It became a career. I taught English to students of all ages and levels for 6 years. When I had a full classroom, I tried to be as dynamic as possible but in teaching one-to-one, It is interesting to have the format of a conversation, while grammar and vocabulary are slowly introduced throughout the classes.
