I highly emphasize to every student to focus on speaking the language that he/she is mastering during every lesson, no matter how limited his/her speaking skills are, it is an effective way to boost confidence in speaking.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of the Philippines Visayas. I've been working as an online ESL teacher for a decade. In addition, I've proofread the dissertations of some graduate students at Yonsei University in South Korea. Throughout my teaching experience, I've met different kinds of students ranging from young to old and from beginning to advanced. My passion for teaching English stems from my sheer interest in helping others understand the language in a clear, fun way. It is my joy to impart my knowledge of English, not to mention grammar and vocabulary, to those who are genuinely interested and motivated to study it.

In my class I offer different types of lessons and all of these are tailored according to your needs. So just till me about your goals and we can start from there. During the class we can read articles, have a dialogue practice and talk about a certain topic. We can also just talk freely about anything under the sun. The best way to learn a language is to put it in practice so I expect you, the student to speak more in class. I believe this is very effective for you to be more confident in speaking. I also make sure that in each and every class it will be fun and instructive.

Though I don't have formal education in teaching, I've gotten a lot of experience using the languages I speak in practical situations. Working within customer service has been a big part of mastering the languages I teach here on iTalki, both in terms of language skills as well as refining my communication skills.

Tagalog is one of the official languages in the Philippines that's why I can speak and teach this well. I was able to teach Filipino (or Tagalog) when I became a substitute teacher in the public school last 2017. I am a fluent "Bisaya" speaker both "Cebuano" and "Boholano". I studied Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (BSBA) in University of San Carlos. I have acquired a 120 hour teaching English as foreign language or TEFL certificate and 120 hour teaching english to speakers of other languages or TESOL certificate. I have been an online teacher for two years. I can teach basic and middle class students in English.
