Sylvia is a great teacher, very professional finding out what you would like to study and sharing material before the class. I am a terrible student and languages are not my forte but Sylvia is patient and understanding and adjusts the tempo so that you always feel comfortable, while gently guiding and encouraging you. I would highly recommend lessons with Sylvia

Sylvia is hands down the best language teacher I've ever had... the speed in which I have been learning is 100% due to her teaching style and awareness of student's strengths & weakness and how to best address them. If she charged double I'd still happily pay - worth it.

This was my 10th lesson with Sylvia. Sylvia is one of the best teachers I've encountered in iTalki. She's very good at figuring out, what is the best way for you to learn and she also takes your suggestions into account. I study things like grammar on my own, so mainly we concentrate on discussion and she also sends me articles on a theme I have selected to increase my vocabulary. As I can and prefer to read more difficult material, we go over it, I can ask anything I didn't understand and Sylvia helps to talk about it and put things more simply, so that I don't always need to use the sometimes very literary expressions. Now, this my preferred way, I believe Sylvia will accomodate whatever is your preferred learning style. I actually didn't think to take this many lessons in Italian (as it's somewhat easy knowing French and Spanish), but I just enjoy our lessons so much, that I think I'm keeping them up for much longer than I originally thought.
