Sohyeon 선생님 brings a balance of new terms and revision to the lesson and never allows me to get too comfortable. Today's lesson was challenging in a great way yet she showed understanding and encouragement towards my weak spots, as well as appreciation for the progress made since the previous lesson- and the effort that went into it. I had started the adventure of learning Korean with a vague intention of reaching whatever an intermediate level means by end of summer. It's proven to be so difficult, it's silly how much I underestimated just what that meant. Instead of being discouraged by this though, I decided to try my best with the challenge even if I might still fall short by that deadline. That's why lessons like the one today are exactly what I feel that I need in order to get on track.

I really learned a lot in this lesson. Thank you so much! And even though I am a complete beginner, I didn't feel any type of uncomfortable with Teacher Sohyeoun. I will definetly come back for more ☺️ Also I'll start using 네 in my daily life from now on to get used to it 😅

I am pleased to be one of her students. Sohyeon figured out my problem of pronunciation and helped me correct it. Sohyeon was patient to teach me when I didn’t follow and she did make me follow again.

Korean is never not challenging but it is very much worth the effort. This is something I discover with every lesson and I am happy to put in the time to develop a sturdy foundation. Today's session gave me reasons to be optimistic and to keep striving to improve.

Shes fairly picky and straightforward, two traits I love in a teacher.

Just realized that I’ve been studying with Teacher Sohyeon for over four years now! I’m so pleased with myself for having found the best teacher that anyone could possibly have! Apart from the structure and rigour of her curricula, I like that she’s personable, yet strict at the same time. She does not let any mistake slide, and would nudge me every now and then when the quality of my work isn’t up to her expectations. And chatting with her each week is so much fun as her views are often refreshing and different from mine, though it made me feel like a frog in the well at times..😅 In a nutshell, I feel that her classes would be tremendously beneficial to serious learners - Caveat is the student gotta love doing homework!
