Turkish is my mother tongue and I was always good in Turkish Grammar and literature and helping my classmates. I studied BA of film directing in Istanbul and now a MA candidate for a Philosophy and Social Thought programme. I gave and still do independent short film-making workshops. I enjoy teaching and always get a good feedback. I feel responsible to myself and to the people I'm facing. I taught basketball to age 11 to 17 during high school and I coached the school basketball team.

My foreigner friends always says that : learning Turkish with you is really enjoyable Simay. As a teacher I am really calm and patient. Since I love teaching, I be very energetic while teaching. So, everybody should experience me as a teacher : )

I am in my third year in medical school. I have been teaching mathematics for a couple of years now therefore ı consider myself as an experienced teacher. However it is going to my first time teaching Turkish but since ı am a quick learner ı am pretty confident that ı am going to get the hang of it soon.

I use interactive materials with visuals and audios (images, videos, podcasts, songs, movies, animations, cartoons etc.) and make my lessons enjoyable and interesting without boring grammar rules. During our lessons I use an online whiteboard for writing and drawing and also utilize the visuals that I've prepared.

In first year of medical school,i had to find a part time job to afford my expenses.I tried to be a waiter,receptionist,barmen,cleaner,farm worker. But all of this jobs didn't last so long.Because of my study,i couldn t find balance between hard physical works and my mentally tşrşng studies. Then fortunately i found an American expat who lives in my city.He wants to learn Turkish.I gave lessons to him.Even now,we are still working togather.After these lessons i found my passionto teach my native language and show my culture how much adorable is. I taught to Turkish to people who are very differnt background.So i am sure that i could help you out in this process.

I'm still a student. So, I know sometimes how hard learning a new language and adapting to a certain environment. But I believe in progress. Many students talk about how they work hard, but they can't handle some issues. Then, they give up easily. As a teacher, I prefer to change the topic, style according to each student.
