I grew up speaking both English and Spanish, and since I was little my friends and colleagues have asked me to help them with either language. Now, I have been teaching languages formally for over 2 years and I worked as a volunteer language teacher in Morocco. I have a TEFL certificate and I teach students of all ages and all levels. I love to talk in a relaxed way and I consider it the best way to learn the language and to know what needs to be improved. What interests me the most is that you can communicate without fear or shame. That is why I want you to feel that you are with a friend: I want the classes to be fun and you to have a good time but I want you to improve your spanish at the same time. I really like the spanish grammar, so I can answer all your questions. But, if I don't know some answers, I'll do some research so I can explain it to you later.

I have worked as a translator for many years in Argentina. I was decided to start a new path in Australia, and I knew it would work. And it did! I exclusively work as a Spanish tutor. I deliver one-on-one classes, and I also teach Spanish to children at a Language School. I have always felt motivated to teach. As a Spanish as a Second Language Teacher and a Translator, I am able to understand specific issues that my students may encounter when trying to compare their mother tongue with the language they learn. I have three university degrees: two of them correspond to translation studies (I am a sworn, technical-scientific and literary translator) and the third one is Spanish Teacher.

For me, teaching is always a win-win situation. Teaching little kids has taught me to be more patient, while some of my adult students have taught me with their progress that persistence and dedication always pay off. My objective as your teacher is to help you learn the Spanish that will allow you to successfully face any situation you may encounter, whether that is an interview, an exam, a social event: I want you to reach your own learning goals. I expect students to be patient with themselves and have the willingness to learn. NOTE: I'm not teaching kids at the moment.

I take a calm and relaxed approach because I want you to feel comfortable and you will get the most out of the lessons if you are feeling relaxed. I'd like to find out about hobbies and interests as well as your specific goals so that the lessons are as interesting and relevant to you as they can be. It's important for me to get to know your preferences, for example whether you want me to give you feedback continually and correct any mistakes you make at the time, or if you prefer me to give more general feedback at the end of the lesson. Good communication with you is a priority for me and I will always welcome your questions and suggestions!

I am passionate about learning languages and I want my students to feel the same way. My lessons are very fun and tailored to the specific needs of each one of my students. My main focus is communication in real life situations.

As you may know, Mexico has many regions that are very much different from one another. If you are interested in knowing more about Mexican way of life/mindset, I'll be delighted to help you through that journey. Or, perhaps you are just interested in the language, as Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. The best way to practice it is by speaking it. I can be a good listener as well as conversation partner to help you feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish. Also please feel free to ask me about Spanish or Latin American culture whenever you want. I'd love to encourage my students to think about the cultural differences talk with me anytime.

In 2011 I signed up at the Teaching Training College, where not only did I learn about languages but also about pedagogy. For this reason, I always design meaningful lessons based on the communicative approach and the four skills (Reading, writing, speaking and listening). These lessons are always prepared taking into consideration the interests of the learner and the objectives set to improve any aspect of the language. Besides, I try to create a good and comfortable atmosphere where the learner feels free of making mistakes and they are seen as a way to improve the learning path.
