I have been tutoring Korean since when I studied at university. I had many opportunities to meet foreign students and to teach them Korean. Also, I have taught Korean to Russian employees at Korean companies. I know about the struggles of learning new languages, I have been through that process. I am currently taking a program to become a government certified teacher. I have experience of teaching children in USA for about 2 years and I really enjoyed it. I like to motivate my students, mostly let my student solve the problems and challenges alone because I believe in that way students can practice more with the grammar, but I am happy to help my students if they find it too challenging.

3. My opinion on learning languages: - True beginners would benefit from using a textbook or other materials to learn. You are in the best position to choose your own study plan! ** For example: I studied English through watching American TV shows! (Seinfeld and That 90’s show! I still watch Seinfeld..Haha!) I used to get a script of the show and spend time looking up the meaning of the words. But there were so many phrases and expressions I could not figure out. I also really wanted to know how to talk like a native speaker! So that was the time I decided to study with my tutor! It was so helpful to study with a tutor and I noticed that I was getting better and better every day!

Since I became a Korean teacher, I'd like to give wider publicity to forenigners. My native language is Korean and I have a lot of experience teaching the Korean language not only in Korea but also overseas. I've also been studying some foreign languages so far. So I know how to study and teach language, I'm confident teaching Korean to high a standard.

Korean and English are very different languages. The way people say thing is different and the word order is also very different. (In Korean, the verb comes last). For example, in English, we say "What are you talking about?" But in Korean, we say "What kind of saying is it? (=무슨 말이에요?)" Also, in English, we say "Happy birthday." But in Korean, we say "Birthday congratulations (= 생일 축하해요)." Example like these show just how different English and Korean are. If we literally translate English to Korean, it sound very unnatural. So, when we study Korean, memorizing natural Korean sentences is very important. I will teach you how to make natural Korean sentences.

I practiced teaching method of Korean language as part of a training course that I took part to become a Korean language teacher back in college years. I taught one of my fellow students when I was in Sweden, and more recently I have been tutoring a college student until now.

I am more specialized in the grammar, and building my teaching experience with above intermediate learners. Because I found that beginning learners can learn much efficiently from their mother-tongue speaking teachers, I started to focus on upper learners. Me as a teacher, I am quite obsessed with teaching Korean language and that drove me to continue learning more in Korean study and become a researcher.
