Every time I meet a new person I am surprised by the richness that the comparison and encounter with other cultures brings with it and this has always been what has moved me to travel and explore other languages ​​and new forms of communication. I lived (apart from Italy and Spain) in Australia and in South East Asia for about a year where I was exchanging convarsation practice with other people from different countries. I speak Italian, Spanish, English and a little bit of French. They are all languages ​​that I have learned almost entirely by speaking, in everyday situations, by entering into relationships with other people and for this I believe in the power of conversation.

I’m a teacher who strongly believes in learning. I’ve always been a good student (and I want to keep going being one ), aware of that my way of learning can be different from my student’s. We have different paces, priorities, passions… for this reason, as a teacher, I would like to 1) understand and know my student, 2) respect his/her way to learn and progress, 3) help him/her with commitment and kindness and… 4) also to learn from him/her.

Dopotutto, se si ha sempre paura di sbagliare non ci si esercita mai! For me is fundamental to put the student at ease, so that he/she doesn't end up limiting him/herself for fear of making mistakes. The student has to feel him/herself in a safe space, that allows practice and learning. You'll never exercise the language if you're scared of making mistakes!

Studying translation made me aware of the importance of knowing my native language perfectly and throught my foreign language(s) learning I tried many types of exercises. As I am experienced in learning a new language, I feel like I can now help other people with it and adapt myself to their requirements. I have been teaching Italian to foreigners for many years now, both face to face and online. I obtained the second level of the DITALS, which is the certificate of competence in teaching Italian to foreigners issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena and I have been teaching since 2003.
