Come si evince dalla mia presentazione, non e' mio intento e grado, insegnare ad un livello accademico. Based on my background and life style, my goal in teaching is to improve the communication skill in everyday life needs. As I travelled a lot, I like to give priorities to those common habits and understanding of dialects and slang cacophonic weird sounds which could lead to an unpleasant experience in my beloved country. Such misleading wordings, put myself into some hard time scenarios, both in working environments either everyday life. Therefore, to plan in advance an all round historical and cultural heritance vision, should be a must for everyone willing to learn a new language.

I used to tutor children and teenagers in their school years helping them with subjects such as Italian grammar and literature. I am actually pretty much into classical literature. I also helped many adults learning Italian, especially my fellow East European and Arab immigrants. Since I've been on italki I've realized how much I missed doing this, and how much I love it! I still do not have any particular qualitication as a teacher (but it's actually in my plans) so I don't have the pretension to teach to an academic level. However, I do have a lot of experience, both live and online, and I do speak both languages on a native level, using them everyday in school, work and personal life.

I like to smile and enjoy the class but I’m also able to guide you with extra tips, encourage to a part of self-study. As an official examiner I can prepare you for Certificates (CELI, CILS,PLIDA). I’m very respectful, and love every culture. It’s important to satisfy your needs: it’s useless to give you tons of “jobs vocabulary” if you want to spend an holiday chilling in the sunny Italy. My different backgrounds help me today: my education in cinema, media studies and advertising helps me in “building” an effective message transmission. Having worked in web design gives me IT and creative skills.Classical Studies (Latin and Greek) give me etymology and a 360 view on the language.

I love my country, and I would like to teach my language to everyone who wants to talk about Italian culture, foreign countries, politics, music, tv, food. We will work on customising lessons, based on your level and goals. I care about my students and about forming a human relationship that can make our lessons both useful and enjoyable.

As a teacher I will teach you to be confident avoiding the fear to making mistakes, which is a crucial component for learning faster. We will practice a lot through conversation which will help you to gain confidence in communicating and understanding Italian in typical “everyday scenarios”, and most important we will learn the Italian language using a cultural approach more than an academic one, without, however, neglecting the study of grammar and pronunciation. Our conversation will be setting in a relaxed environment, as if it was a talk with friends.

I have a Master Degree in teaching Italian and the CELTA certification to teach English, so I can truly understand the differences between the two languages and I can help you avoid translation errors and recognize false friends. I consider myself fortunate to have had the chance to combine the two things I love the most - travelling and teaching and in fact I taught languages in several countries: Uk, China, Germany and now Italy. My lessons are based on conversation and I'll make sure to give you the language tools in order to speak Italian or English from day one. I love building lasting relationships with my students and being able to see them develop their language skills.

I'm afraid I'm not the typical teacher. I feel like I'm more of a friendly face correcting your errors and pushing you to practice and talk. I think a lot can be done alone with books but what makes talking to a native special is that one goes beyond the (often boring) book and is able to interact and have an exchange with the person. I studied languages in school and for a year in university. I know Italian grammar well and I love grammar in general. I translated for years and got to realise how hard it can be to use the language but also how beautiful Italian is. I do not teach children or complete beginners. I don't have the expertise and don't want to ruin the experience for them!

CLASSES All of the classes are made to help the Italian learner to improve his/her Italian skills (reading, listening, speaking, pronunciation and understanding/comprehension). I make each lesson to fit the needs, abilities and the learning level for each person. Each lesson is unique because the needs of each student are unique. With each lesson, the student will learn new words, new expressions/idioms , new phrasal verbs and grammar structures.

Mi piace coinvolgere gli studenti in attività che attraggano la loro attenzione e su argomenti molto vari in modo da poter spaziare su varie tematiche. In questo modo saranno pronti ad affrontare a proprio agio conversazioni di vario tipo. Di fondamentale importanza è focalizzarsi sui punti di debolezza dell'alunno e fare in modo che diventino i loro cavalli di battaglia.

Offro lezioni private da molto tempo ed ho avuto l'occasione di lavorare con persone molto diverse. Non sono una professoressa e per questo voglio che le mie lezioni siano leggere e divertenti, per poter imparare senza troppe difficoltà. Posso aiutarvi a migliorare la vostra fluenza, la vostra pronuncia e posso insegnarvi le espressioni tipiche dei veri italiani!

Come tutore sono disteso, estroverso e calmo. La pazienza è la chiave per ottenere il massimo dei risultati. Perché una persona calma e rilassata, sta più attenta alle novità. Non essendo abilitato all'insegnamento della lingua italiana, posso aiutare i miei "interlocutori" con la pronuncia delle frasi, aumentando il loro vocabolario, correzioni grammaticali, e il linea di massima ad acquisire dimestichezza con la lingua italiana. La pratica aumenta l'autostima, la sicurezza e di pari passo la capacità di esprimersi in una lingua straniera con più disinvoltura.

First of all, I would say that I am very "kind" and flexible. I always try to adapt myself on my students' needs, and I think that it is very important to ask and know about my students' interests, hobbies, things they find very difficult when it comes to speaking and studying a new language and so on. I really care about my students and about their progress in learning. I am open to any kind of feedback and any kind of requests in order to make our lessons "better". For example, we could also try to learn a new language with songs!

If there's one thing that gives me joy is talking about languages, their grammatical peculiarities, the culture they originate from and finding similarities with Italian. The only other thing that comes close is being able to communicate proficiently in a foreign language while learning something new in the process. Listening, repeating, speaking, practicing and writing are all key to the learning path and I'll commit to adjust our sessions to whatever method suits you the most.

To relate to different types of people, to be patient, to encourage learning and recognize merits... I also learned new Peruvian, Colombian, Mexican recipes (I am passionate about cooking), and new cultures, along with many idioms from different places... In short, it is I who thank my students. I have been living in Latin America for 3 years now teaching Italian online and in different cities. From Medellín to Guatemala City, from Lima to Santiago de Chile, and from Tijuana to Leticia.
