My experience as a language teacher started in 2020 on italki. I have fun explaining the German language to others and I am really patient with students takeing their time to learn. I was teaching imaginary students when I was about 5 years old - tea parties were not really my thing ;) Now, it's been more than 10 years of teaching experience with real students in Germany, Spain and France, kids, teenagers and adults, online and offline. When I teach, the main goal is to make the student speak, but we also practise listening and reading comprehension as well as writing. I myself have learned many foreign languages. I can relate to a situation when you start learning, it all goes well for a while and then it all just stops and no matter what you do, you cannot move on and improve your language level. I've developed different strategies that worked for myself and for my students and I will be happy to share them with you.

What distinguishes me from other teachers is my passion as well as my strategy. I like to prepare conversation topics, songs, news articles, philosophical questions that have the relevant vocabulary and grammar structures to improve your language skills. Several of my students have started as beginners with me and went on to suceed in moving to Germany. My personal opinion is that anyone can learn a language: it is not a talent, but a skill. Just like math or riding a skateboard, it is a skill that you can develop. I am here to help you hone in on your skills and succeed in your interview, language exam or reading a book in English or German.

I'm not a big proponent of old-school style language teaching but rather like to introduce my students to new, innovative methods and figure out the one that works best for them.
