Da ich bereits in Kindheitstagen stets geschickt im Gebrauch mit meiner Muttersprache war und ich große Freude im Schreiben fand, empfahlen mir meine Lehrer wiederholt, nach Schulabschluss Deutschlehrer zu werden. Aus sportlichen Gründen entschied ich mich jedoch für einen anderen Studienweg. Hier in Viet Nam nun als Online-Tutor Studenten auf ihrem Weg zur Meisterung der deutschen Sprache zu begleiten, scheint mir die ideale Möglichkeit zu sein, dem Rat meiner Lehrer schlussendlich zu folgen. I have 6 years experience of language teaching, especially face to face classes online or presencial. My students are mainly native portuguese students but I am used to teach speakers from a wide range of languages.

My lessons will be conversational for pupils with intermediate or advanced German skills (B1 - C1). My main goal is to teach you German in a fun way, where you aren't afraid of speaking and making mistakes. First we will set your goal, then I will help you to reach it. To actually speak a new language is problably the hardest part. Therefore I belief it's important to focus on topics you are interested in. I want to teach you how German is actually spoken, rather teaching you "textbook" German. Please note: I don't teach children or teens.

so far i tought german, and spanish every once in a while when it was needed from friends or friends of them. i also give reading lessons in german. And i like it a lot. i am a very empathic and patient person, and i like to create a comfortable space where one does not feel the pressure of having to achieve anything for my sake. but to be shure one knows what he/she can achieve for themselves. to widen his or her range of talking, writing and understanding german. and i think the best way is to simply practice it.

I have studied some dozen or so languages to varying degrees, so I’m quite experienced with various methods of learning. I have also taught classes in university before, both language and otherwise.

I found that I really enjoy 1-1 teaching and had the opportunity through the last years teaching dozens of students online, to constantly improve on my methods and the way I give feedback. As I grew up in Northern Germany, I will teach you the „high-German“, without any dialect. That's the way people talk on TV and Radio.

After a short period of time in Egypt I was asked by friends and other people if I am teaching german or if I would be able to do so. So I mostly gave (private) conversational lessons as a part time job (for around 3 years). I am currently not teaching beginners or children!

When I was in high school I discovered my passion for helping my classmates with homework and then I decided to bring this to another level and offered tutoring in the following: Biology, Geography, English, French and German. Later when I finished my degree in foreign language correspondence (mainly translation and correspondence in German, English and French) I started traveling a lot and I got to know people from other countries. I have regularly given one on one classes in many different parts of the world where I have traveled to and lived in. It has always given me great pleasure seeing people improve their language skills.

I am convinced that learning a new language in a natural way like children do, is the best and most efficient way to speak on a native level. You don't have to struggle with endless amounts of grammar exercises, studying grammar books or long lists of vocabulary in order to gain fluidity. Before children learn about grammar rules in school they are about 10 years and speak fluently. I have been tutoring children and teenagers for six years now and concentrating on conversations mostly as well as keeping them motivated is one of the most essential tools. Seeing my students making progress and achieving their goal within only a short time is an incredibly rewarding experience!

I am a firm believer in making learning - especially language learning - fun and am convinced that with this, dedication and immersion you can get pretty much anywhere in a language! But also: don't be afraid to mess up! Everybody makes mistakes when getting into a new language (I've been there), and sometimes it will seem like you'll never stop making the same mistakes, but I am happy to help and go over things multiple times.

I was often used to help refine the pronunciation and sentence building of my schoolmates, when I was younger. Thus, I can easily speak slower, with an accent that is easier to understand or use words which are more basic. I have learned a lot on iTalki, until now. I believe my teaching has improved and my system works. I have had complete beginners, thus I feel comfortable with taking the first steps with you. Nonetheless, I am also guiding more advanced students. I myself do occasionally make mistakes, whilst on this path of becoming a good tutor, if something surpasses my knowledge, I will make sure to find it after our lesson and fill you in.

Thanks to my language studies in Italy, where I attended university, I understood how important it is to use the new language every day to make steady improvements and I also know how difficult it can be to learn it when you have a busy life. I am a kind, friendly and patient person and would love to help you learning my mother language.

I’m an openminded person and full of energy. In my opinion Iearning a language should be an eye-opening process, with fun and being motivated, that I always keep in my mind. As a professional teacher I like to focus on your specific needs and give you the right hints where to focus to improve your german. As a language learner I can provide useful tips and tricks from my own experience in learning a language.

I believe that the best way of learning something is by having fun doing it and I want you to enjoy the process of learning german. I have learned many foreign languages myself and would love to share my insights with you.

I have previously taught German and English in China and Thailand and what I noticed there was that many students after some point reach a plateau where their vocabulary is not improving that much anymore because they are discussing the same topics again and again. So as a teacher I like to focus on expanding my students' vocabulary so they can reach the next level of language learning through conversation, whether this means going from basic to intermediate or intermediate to advanced. During my lessons I create a comfortable enviroment where you can really try things out without having to be afraid of making mistakes.

I love sharing knowledge and ideas and I am very patient. When teaching I create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and where you can experience the joy of learning a new language. Making mistakes is very welcome and a big chance of learning. If you don´t find a suitable time in my calendar, you can always ask me to open another slot.

I can look back on over three years of online acrobatic coaching with students from all over the world and mainly teaching in English. I also had the pleasure to take care of Japanese Aikido teachers during their stay in Switzerland and help them as a translator. And I had several friends which I had the pleasure of teaching in one to one settings. This provided me many good insights and clues on how to use and teach foreign languages to other persons. And of course I am constantly learning myself as a student – so I know what it is like to attend a language lesson and what you need to have for a fun but also productive time.

I have more than 5 years of experience in teaching and exam preparation. I have completed my B.A. in German as a second and foreign language, English and Linguistics at the University of Bonn.
