I am a very easygoing and patient teacher. I never push my learners to master the goal of a lesson at a time. If needed, I provide extra explanations until the goal of a lesson is acquired. During the lesson I keep my seed of speaking in accordance with the level of the learner. I like when the learners are curious and ask questions. I always support the learners with the extra guidance to help them be self-learners. Besides teaching English, I also teach Turkish for the communication and academic purposes.

My focus as a teacher is of course you and your needs, what you want to get out of our lessons and areas you'd like to focus on. As a student of Spanish i understand the challenges of learning a new language, and i find this helps me to empathise with my students. I am patient and encouraging and want to make the lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible for you!

My teaching passion began in China in 2002, when I taught Conversational English, after gaining a degree in English and Media at University. I got my EFL teaching qualification in 2005 and I´ve been teaching English in Summer schools, Academies in Spain and online since. Over the years I´ve taught a range of ages and levels, and have experience in preparing students for exams, General English and Business English. I also have an advanced TEFL qualification (The Trinity DipTesol) and have trained new teachers. I´ve a special interest in teaching young learners, have given workshops, and written a manual on how to teach children. However, I love teaching all ages and levels.

I am graduated from UAEM, which is the most important University in the state where I live, and even before I finished my bachelor’s degree, I started to teach English in two primary schools. After that, I’ve taught kids, preteens, young adults and adults. I've given General English from very beginner students up to upper intermediate students. On the other hand, I also have experience helping graduated students to write their academic texts in English and Spanish. In addition, I have given reading comprehension courses to students in order to pass their reading exams in their universities (in English and Spanish) Currently I continue working as a teacher.

Nowadays being bilingual or polyglot is a huge advantage over all and has a lot of amazing benefits such as; more networking opportunities, highly valued in the workplace, extremely helpful while traveling or the simple fact of being able to communicate with more people. Due to these reasons I decided to learn English as my second language and being completly honest with you guys it was very hard for years, unitll I understood why, the lack of practice/speaking, as simply as it sounds but yes, the more you speak the faster you'll improve.

I am a Trinity College qualified teacher with around ten years of experience working on many different educational projects. I've taught general English in language schools in Spain and the UK (as well as having worked online), and English through photography, multimedia and the creative arts in the UK and Malaysia. I've organised and delivered creative and language based workshops in important gallery spaces in London, as well as having volunteered to teach English and the arts to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and Malaysia. I've also worked in London secondary schools, and run workshops in collaboration with youth groups and arts organisations. Its been very interesting!

All of my teaching experience has been in both Costa Rica and Honduras. I taught a very small class each time and at a beginners level. I decided to become an English as a Second Language teacher because of my love of travel and people! Teaching English allows me to live anywhere in the world and have a flexible schedule to explore new places and cultures and teach about my own! Teaching in a small setting has gained me the experience of that which a tutor would gain, in that I know how to work closely one on one with an individual to help them gain the help that they need in a specific area of learning. I completed a 120 Hour Advanced TESOL course online and graduated with distinction.

In the last 5 years I have worked in remote areas of Australia both as a Renal Dialysis Nurse and as an English Tutor. I hold a Diploma in TESOL and used my expertise to tutor mature aged aboriginal women, assisting them in their studies. These women may have 1or 2 tribal languages and English may be their 3rd or 4th language. When home in Queensland, I host international students. My first student was a Chinese girl named Yoyo, undertaking her Masters, I assisted her with Conversational English, Australian idioms and slang. I have also hosted Punjabi and Indian students who are upgrading their nursing qualifications and assisted them with nursing terminology and conversational English.

In the first lesson we will talk about the reason you are taking lessons and what you want to learn from the class. From there I can work out what we need to focus on and what you want to improve and achieve. I can provide home work and constructive feedback. Each lesson will be tailored specifically to your needs.
