I can teach you English or Danish. I generally teach conversational classes, where I'll introduce grammar and new words/expressions as needed. I also teach you how to sound natural, whether it is in terms of the words you use or how you say them.

I have been teaching English as a second language since 2012, online as well as offline. I have helped students of all ages, ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old.

My teaching career began in high school when I worked at my school's summer camp. In university I tutored reading to 3rd grade students at the local public school. Later I lived in Mexico and did an internship with an English teacher at the national university. In the internship I focused on improving students’ pronunciation and fluency. I have been a private English tutor in Ecuador, Spain, and Morocco. Most recently I was in Vietnam for 1 year teaching English to all ages and levels at a private language center.

What helped me the most to learn a new language was to have conversations with a native speaker who knew that I was still learning. I found it really helpful be be corrected in an understanding, constructive way so that is what I try to do. Questions are appreciated and encouraged! I also prefer flexibility to rigid structure as it can sometimes be more beneficial to follow tangents, so I have a simple lesson outline which changes depending on students needs. *PLEASE NOTE*I do not tutor children aged 12 and under. Nach dem Abitur habe ich dann meinen BA in den Fächern Englisch und Geschichte an der Universität Hamburg gemacht. Was mir in der Schulzeit in meinem eigenen Englischunterricht an Sprachpraxis deutlich zu kurz gekommen ist, habe ich mir während meiner Studiumszeit durch Tandem-Partner und Sprachpraxis-Seminare, besonders aber auch durch mein Jahr in Neuseeland, in eigener Hand beigebracht. Dadurch und durch meine bisherigen Lehrerfahrungen geprägt, möchte ich meinen Unterricht individuell auf mein Tandem ausrichten.

I became a teacher when I came back to Brazil in 2014. At the same time I started teaching, I took my TESOL course and I’ve been teaching privately ever since. I have been Teaching English High School Students in Asia for 5 years. I have a degree in Economics and Business studies, from Leeds University in the UK. I find a communicative approach (CLT) with an emphasis on conversation is most suitable for online classes, preferably with additional offline task-based assignments to further progress. I use a variety of materials and sources depending on a student's needs and background, and incorporate real life materials and relatable content for every class when possible. I specialize in Business English, General English, test and interview preparation, American English, and Intermediate and Advanced students.

9th January 2020, I will not be teaching after the end of February 2020. I got a diploma in TESOL in 2007 and I taught at language centers and provide one to one tuition to Korean students for many years. I have been teaching on italki since Sep 27, 2013.
