As a teacher, I love to make students feel confident to speak English with me and make mistakes. I feel that it is essential to not be scared to communicate and express your opinion even if it is a bit difficult at the beginning. I have learned 5 foreign languages myself, that is why I know many effective and fun methods to memorize information and communicate faster! I strongly believe that learning should be a fun process - that is when it is the most effective. I have lived in many different cultural backgrounds - would love to discuss about cultural customs as well. I have many teaching techniques that students have been very pleased with when they work with me. When we meet, I will ask you what you would like to work on specifically. There are many things we could work on, including conversational skills, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing skills, pronunciation, and grammar rules, just to name a few. <Covering All Levels> I used to teach Korean and English to international exchange students when I was in university. I mainly taught them how to write 한글 ( Korean writing) and how to speak properly in various situations through videos, Korean songs, and some text books and study materials provided. Most of them were beginner's level and they could have improved their Korean skill so quickly. However, I also taught advanced level students and a student studying for TOPIK test. Hence, I can basically cover all levels. In addition, when I was in the US, I used to teach Korean to Korean American kids who were born and raised in the US.

I'm a very passionate and caring teacher. I've had the chance to teach students from different levels, ages and nationalities. I started teaching 3 years ago, since my freshman year in university to gain experience and confidence and I'm glad to realize that I have made progess in this field. About one year ago, as part of the mandatory internship, I took part in a programm where I taught Spanish to foreign students from all over the world, since then I enjoy sharing my language and culture.

I graduated a four year program with a B.S. in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting. I’ve tutored ASL for about 2 years at university. It’s important for me to first get to know the expectations and goals of my students. This allows me to set up a tutoring session that is most compatible with my students leaning style and goals. I am graduated from UAEM, which is the most important University in the state where I live, and even before I finished my bachelor’s degree, I started to teach English in two primary schools.
