I received my bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of the Philippines Visayas. I've been working as an online ESL teacher for a decade. In addition, I've proofread the dissertations of some graduate students at Yonsei University in South Korea. Throughout my teaching experience, I've met different kinds of students ranging from young to old and from beginning to advanced. My passion for teaching English stems from my sheer interest in helping others understand the language in a clear, fun way. It is my joy to impart my knowledge of English, not to mention grammar and vocabulary, to those who are genuinely interested and motivated to study it.

During the class we can read articles, have a dialogue practice and talk about a certain topic. We can also just talk freely about anything under the sun. The best way to learn a language is to put it in practice so I expect you, the student to speak more in class. I believe this is very effective for you to be more confident in speaking. I also make sure that in each and every class it will be fun and instructive.

Though I don't have formal education in teaching, I've gotten a lot of experience using the languages I speak in practical situations. Working within customer service has been a big part of mastering the languages I teach here on iTalki, both in terms of language skills as well as refining my communication skills.
