Hi! I'm Jiyeon. I'm originally from Seoul but I am now living in Singapore for 4 years and have been teaching Korean for 3 years. I really enjoy teaching Korean as it allows me to meet many interesting people from different countries and learn more about cultures. I am a positive and outdoor person. I enjoy travelling and travel as much as possible. I have traveled to various countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia, but would also love to have experiences in other continents.

I am educated to master’s Level and hold a certificate specific for teaching Korean to foreign learners. I work mostly with teenagers and adults. And I am friendly and patient in my classes. So, I always aim to make my classes comfortable and give my students the opportunity to express themselves and have more talk time, so they can build confidence and get to improve their speaking skills.

I specialize in Conversational Korean, Business Korean, and Job Interview in Korean. Prior to becoming a Korean teacher, I was in HR industry for many years. But it really depends on the demand of the student and the type of lesson. I am happy when my students to pick a topic of interest as I can adapt to themes easily and encourage them to talk about said theme and they get as much practice as possible. My style includes providing immediate feedback and making a lot of corrections when the student makes mistakes.
