I understand first hand the struggles of learning a new language. I know that everyone has their own learning styles and I will tailor my lessons to suit your needs. I also have experience tutoring at the university level in Oregon for six months. I don't believe in making students follow my pace because I know that if you enjoy learning a new language, you will succeed.

I can teach conversational and academic English and Indonesian, but I am open to requests. I want to know what your goals are and I will work with you on that. Although I don't rush when I teach, I always set goals for the student. Through time, students will follow more structured lessons.

It was my first experience with Indonesian and Nancy really helped me with my pronunciation and encouraged me to pronounce the words. She's a great teacher, she's patient and explains great.

I've done 10 lessons with Nancy and have really enjoyed our time together! Nancy is really flexible regarding what you're interested in learning and gives really great insight, recommendations, and resources for you to keep learning outside of lessons. I highly recommend her if you're interested in diving into Indonesian culture, history, and social issues, as she's very knowledgable about those topics. Makasih Nancy!

Kita berbicara tentang perbedaan antara bahasa gaul dengan bahasa Indonesia formal, dan candi-candi dan makanan di pulau Jawa. We talked about the differences between informal and formal Indonesian and the temples and food in Java. Nancy is a good teacher who provided corrections for my Indonesian to help me sound more like a native speaker. Makasih banyak!
