Hello everyone my name is Maria Jesus and im from Costa Rica. I love to travel, photography, I enjoy surf and skateboarding, I love to spend time out in nature with my dog and my camera, and I love to meet new people and learn about the culture and lifestyle. I have travelled around South America and also around the UK and I have to say I fell in love with the English landscapes, the humour and the people. I also enjoy cooking, and I love accents! I could spend a whole evening just trying different accents, my favorites at the minute are the Scottish and also the Irish one, altho im not very good at them i wanna be one day. I love music and to learn new instruments. What about you?

Minha atuação como professor

I want our lessons to be fun and that you feel comfortable with me as your teacher, we will be learning at your pace but always pushing you to be better. Im gonna help you with your pronunciation, vocabulary and writing. I would like to hear that in your own time you are practicing alone or with friends because you already feel excited about it and want to keep learning. I am very patient and I love to set goals, so hey.. we can make a great team if you are willing to compromise with me! My Costa Rican spanish is for sure one of the most understandables all around the world, we speak slow, clear, and neutral. Im a good chance for you to become fluent very soon.

Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino

You are going to choose hoy many lesson per week and I am gonna prepare a class for you if thats how you wanna work. If you want the class to be a more natural environment and you dont wanna talk about just one topic then we will work like that. I learned english by listening to native speakers and taking notes about the words and phrases I wanted to understand so im pretty sure these talks are gonna help you improve, learn or refresh your spanish. I work with homeworks, music, videos, texts, and audiobooks that I have downloaded and I can recommend to you so even when we are not in class you will be improving. I am very excited to be your teacher. I am very patient and love to set goals.

I was nervous doing my first lesson as I am a complete beginner, but it went really well. I like how Maria took control of the class immediately and we started speaking Spanish straight away. She took the time to type out the important points and she took the time to correct my pronounciation of each word. I am looking forward to my next lesson. Maria gave me homework to do so I must go! jajaja :)

Amazing tutor! We had a nice chat about the Costa Rica! She gave some really useful advices for my upcoming trip there.. Maria is very easy to talk to with a neutral accent!II’m looking forward taking more classes!
