I teach Spanish and English. I also can speak French and Italian so I can help you in these languages if needed.
Learning a foreign language is not as difficult as people usually say. It only takes practice, patience and compromise to get to learn, write and speak well... I've been a teacher and a tutor for 10 years now and, during this time, I've concluded that having a great time is the best way to learn. So, be prepared to share your interests and practice while talking about different topics, especially those you care about.

I've noticed at the beginning the students are usually shy when it comes to talking, but they eventually end up gaining confidence that's why I always encourage them to talk and make mistakes so I can correct them. On top of that, as I stated before, I want my students to have a great time while they're learning so I like them to propose the topics we're going to talk about during the lesson.
When they are at a basic level I like to make them feel comfortable and go with their flow so they never feel pushed to learn fast. Also, I like to give them the tools to be able to practice by themselves.

Charlamos bien sobre muchos temas, incluyendo a mi preferido. Hablamos de dialectos del idioma italiano, y unos criollos caribeños. ¡Espero hablar de más que los idiomas la próxima! No quiero aburrirlo a Juan. A mejorar.

The lesson was great! Juan is a great conversationalist with very varied areas of interest. He corrected my errors without impeding the flow of conversation which is a rare skill. I definitely recommend a lesson with Juan.
