Greetings, I'm a native English speaker from the South of England with 7 years teaching experience in China. I was thrilled to be offered a teaching position at a local university in early 2016, tackling the more technical aspects of the language with English Major students. During my first 3 years in China, I taught at an English Language Academy with approximately 200 students of all ages. I found it to be a very demanding experience, but gave me the tools, skills and confidence needed to advance to the position I'm in today. 大家好，我来自英国，在中国做外教5年。现在是在一所大学教书。

I'm really greatful to Douglas for so much speaking practice. Despite having realised how many fossilised pronunciaton mistakes and blind spots I have, I feel that I'm building up my confidence in speaking and reading. I also appreciate that, being extremely amiable and polite, Douglas is always able to challenge my views on many topical issues and broaden my horizons with a wide range of engaging materials, what makes his lessons highly educational in many ways for me. This also teaches me to find good arguments to clarify my viewpoint as well as not to turn a blind eye to other opinions.

Douglas is a supportive, friendly and professional teacher. He knows how to explain the steps to correct the pronunciation in a clear and effective way. I just followed the steps and I could feel the big differences! Thank you, Douglas. It is a very helpful and enjoyable class. When my notebook is back, I look forward to having more classes with you.
