I am a native English speaker and was born in the city of Derby which is located in the East Midlands in Derbyshire. I also spend six months of the year in Spain and travel quite considerably around England and Europe pet and house sitting. I love meeting new people from all different parts of the world and enjoy travelling. I have taught in a number of countries which has allowed me the privilege of meeting people of so many different nationalities and interests. I also enjoy being around animals (especially dogs) walking and riding my bike in the lovely English countryside.

Minha atuação como professor

I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language for 12 years and have a wide range of experience. I recently graduated (at the age of 58) with a Masters in Education. I also have certification in Trinity TESOL to Diploma Level. I am able to offer IELTS training, General British English and Business English and also offer pre-sessional Academic English. I can provide all the materials for lessons. Teaching is a joy and definitely my vocation. My extensive experience includes teaching positions in such countries as Austria, Germany, Belgium, Cambodia, Thailand and the Czech Republic. I have been teaching online for 6 years and also have experience teaching Chinese children.

My teaching style is adaptable and very much based on the needs of my student. Should you wish to have lessons with me, I would initially have a chat with you to find out why you are learning English and possibly offer you a placement test so that we can ascertain your strengths and weaknesses. Teaching can be as relaxed and conversational as you wish, or more exam-focused and intense with tasks based around the individual student's needs and challenges.

Thank you again Julie, after the holidays I was a bit "rusty" but with your help I began to feel confident again. I will practice the use of the past tense: past and present perfect. Also I´ll try to put in better use the as+adjective+as form. Regards.
