First of all: It is an honor to meet a person who wants to speak polish language. What makes me feel a good teacher? Being a student. Learning languages? I know what you feel, what are your struggles and what is your goal. I was there and I was dealing with difficulties, I know them well. Success is about breaking the ice. My advice? Start speaking, talking no matter the mistakes. Don’t be perfect. Be you! Speak out loud even if you aren’t sure. Please, don’t think of me as a teacher better treat me as a person with whom you can talk chat, connect, talk, discuss. Honestly? I can’t wait to meet you in person. Really!

I've been teaching Polish and English in language exchanges for over a year now. I've also tutored students in English for a few months. I'm very patient and understanding and I know that each student is different and has different needs, so I make effort to meet those needs. I believe the best way to learn a language is to start using it from day one and make as many mistakes as you can.

I have six years of teaching experience as a tutor. During this time I've met amazing people with diverse backgrounds - programmers, entrepreneurs, university students, artists and many, many more. The vast majority of my students are also expats living mainly in French speaking countries and this is something I consider to be my greatest asset - having lived in France as an expat gave me the opportunity to be able to empathize with a student and understand what are his or her needs in terms of learning a language. Although, the pleasure of actually speaking it is my biggest mission. We enjoy the process, we have fun, we try to make the language serve us - not otherwise :).

I wanted to become a polish language teacher because I believe there is not enough opportunity for polish learners to speak. I think conversation is the most important aspect of learning a new language and I want to be a part of your journey with my native language! The second reason I decided to teach is simple. I love to talk, and meet new people. People gives me energy and I feel awesome when I can give it back :)

I have a big experience teaching foreign languages (English and French) to children in Warsaw, Paris and Madrid since 2014. I was teaching at the centre of activities, private houses, teaching as a volunteer and while taking care of children. At the moment I am teaching Polish to my partner who is French and who wants to have a conversational level in Polish. I absolutely love teaching and it gives me so much joy to share my knowledge with others who are eager to learn. I have my own creative methods and systems of teaching and I adapt myself to the needs of a student as well.

I believe that we learn only when what we read and listen to in a target language is comprehensible and I have numbers of ways to make this happen. Skill-building approach, known from traditional schools is proven to be unsuccesful, and I bet you have some experience from schools where they taught you a language but you didn't acquire any of it, or just a small bit. Your lessons will be based on complete opposite of it - Compehensible Input, so you'll acquire the language easy and effortlessly. School system (at least in Poland) made us believe that we aren't allowed to make mistakes. I strongly disagree with that. Making mistakes is not a mistake!

I have experience teaching languages ever since I became fluent in my second language, English. I used to help my schoolmates with conversation skills as well as with grammar. I also gained experience teaching both Polish and English to my neighbours' children from the very beginning. During the high school time, I attended multiple international projects including student exchanges and Berlin Model United Nations. This experiences helped me gain language advancement. I've been providing tutoring and conversational practice to people learning English and Polish from around the world. I do my best to adjust my teaching methods to each student so I can most effectively boost their potential.

I understand that everyone is different and you cannot expect them to learn in the same way. A teacher should try to find out what works for their students every time they teach. Having been a student myself, I realised it is real-life language which plays a key role in the learning process. Instead of cramming long lists of words or complicated grammar rules, we should focus on finding examples and using them. Not only are we able to remember all the things that have been covered, but we can also appreciate and relish the language we learn (and teach!).

As a teacher I would like to help you achieve your personal goals. Confidence is the key to success when learning a foreign language. I always try to help students overcome the "block" in conversations and focus on communication. Making mistakes during a conversation is actually one of the best learning methods that helps students make significant progress. I consider grammar to be a tool that allows speakers to understand each other in certain situations, not a set of rules to remember.

My linguistic knowledge gained at the university might be quite useful to you :p It enables me to provide you with some pronunciation tips, an accurate explanation of grammar rules and exceptions, etc. Besides that, I know from my own experience how tedious learning a language can be. That’s why I’m constantly looking for different (more vibrant than rote learning) ways to learn the vocabulary. I’d be happy to share them and try them out with you during our lessons.

Funny enough, when I was a kid I was repeating over and over that I’ d prefer to clean the streets than be a teacher since I was the teacher’s daughter. Never say never! It has started with some art and education projects that I was doing for underprivileged kids and teens in my neighborhood. Then I found a bunch of people with whom I have created a few beautiful projects that mainly you could summarize with a punch line: “Learning, exchanging, co-creating is FUN”. In addition, I have experience as an academic teacher and four years of experience teaching English all around Asia to all age groups and levels. And yes, I have TOEFL :)

As I've written above, I am a language enthusiast and a linguist-to-be. That's why I understand what problems you may have during the process of learning Polish. I know it's not easy but I assure you it's really rewarding. I want to accomodate to my student so I can (or I don't have to) give you homework, I can prepare additional materials but we can just talk - it's up to you :)
