I started teaching Italian when I wanted to improve my German for work, so when I got paid I used the money to buy new German classes. I found this activity very interesting and fun. It was amazing how many people wanted to learn Italian and learn about Italian culture. Listening to my students improving day after day was really satisfying. I studied a lot of Italian during school, so I know very well what I'm trying to teach you. I know how difficult it can be to learn a new language, and to keep it ''alive”! That's something I'm doing too, so I can help you with all my knowledge.

As soon as I graduated, I started working in a language school. I have worked with people of all ages and of all levels and backgrounds, big groups, small groups and one-on-one. I can offer you my knowledge, 20 years of experience and a good will to help you in your learning journey. I like working with people who are dedicated to their goals and who find time to achieve them. I'm really happy when my students learn something new or improve their language skills and this requires seriousness from both (student's and teacher's) sides. However I like my lessons to be relaxed and friendly. Online teaching offers a lot of possibilities and I always implement new features I discover.

I graduated from Università Statale di Milano in 2013 in "Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures". After university, I obtained a 1st Level Master in "Promoting and Teaching of Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners". In 2013 I was an intern at the Italian department of Kennesaw State University, USA. My Master’s final project was published as an article in an specialized Italian LS/L2 magazine. After my Master, I had many teaching experiences, also with Individuals with learning disabilities, both in Italy and in the USA. I worked in Pennsylvania as a Teaching Assistant for the elementary, intermediate and advanced Italian language and culture classes at Bucknell University, Lewisburg.

I've been an ESL teacher since 2010. I possess a TEFL certification as well as a BA in Italian language, literature, and culture. I've also worked for three Italian schools, being in charge of organizing and preparing lesson plans for groups and individual students in both private and company settings. I have experience with book-based lessons, personalized courses, business-centered learning, online teaching, telephonic and e-mail lessons. In addition, working with beginners to advanced students (A1 - C2, as guidelined by CEFR). My students describe my classes as being fun-filled, interesting, insightful, and effective! I am a very patient and easy going teacher. I am flexible and can adapt to the student needing. I like to make people at ease, because I understand what it means to be new to a language and not feeling confident in speaking it. To be considered that, since my classes are based on conversational practise, I only teach to students from A2 level. What I usually do is to set up a goal with my student in the first lessons, which can be as different as improving the use of grammar or working on the pronunciation. This helps me to understand the direction to take with my teaching technique, but also helps you to have a clear and concrete objective to reach.
