I am Santhi from Tamil Nadu, India. Basically i'm a civil engineer with a master diploma in environmental engineering. As a native Tamil speaker, I have been taking classes through italki for the past 8 years to a variety of students across the globe. My hobbies include reading novels, listening to music and travelling.

We repeated Past, Present and Future tenses for Avan/Aval/Avar. It was a very interesting lesson. Santhi is very helpful. Although learning Tamil is not easy for me, now many things are getting more clear.

I got exactly what I was hoping to get out of the lesson. I asked Santhi ram to record herself reading some children's stories in Tamil so I could listen to them later. It was an unusual request, but she was very happy to oblige, and she spoke in a very clear, slow voice, so the recordings will be great for practising.
