Hello! My name is Anna and although I am originally from Georgia, my mother tongue is Russian! I have an immense passion for languages and therefore I am currently enrolled in a bachelor's programme studying Linguistics. I've been teaching both Russian and English for three years already and have a rather extensive background in pedagogy. Other than that, I'm incredibly keen on literature and the arts, so we could always discuss a wide range of topics on our lessons!

I would say my main strength as a teacher is finding an individual approach to each student and create a need-based learning plan. Whether you want to improve your speaking skills in Russian or delve into the complexities of grammar (perhaps both!), I provide engaging materials and most importantly ensure that our lessons are a safe space for you to learn, grow, make mistakes and ultimately succeed!

As I have already mentioned my main priority as a tutor is to tailor my lessons based on the individual needs of each student. I teach all levels of students, but the primary component of my lessons for the general course of Russian is the balance between speaking practice and grammar. Other than that, my background in linguistics and English equips me with the necessary skill to effectively teach Russian grammar. In terms of materials, I incorporate mixed media in my lessons (such as videos, podcasts etc.) Overall, I am an open-minded and patient tutor who will support you in your journey of discovering the beauties of the Russian language!

It was a great lesson with Anna! She was helpful, easy to talk to and I felt comfortable from the beginning! She was also really great about adapting to my needs and level! Highly recommend her!
