NOTE TO STUDENTS: Please book classes at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment. Hi there! My name is Kati. I am a native English speaker and I live in sunny South Africa. I have two Economics degrees, and I am a professional English teacher. Here are some fun facts about me - I love being outdoors, with my friends and family. I am very passionate about food, and I love going to the beach with my friends.

I am a confident person; my experience has been in tutoring several school subjects for the last 5 years. I also have a TEFL qualification. My strengths are being disciplined, prepared, being friendly with students having an excellent environment for learning. I specialize in teaching IELTS Academic and IELTS General, I have been working for Delfin English school doing various intensive IELTS prep classes. As a teacher, I am very easy going and aim to work with students depending on their various needs. I can give students homework if necessary. My main focus when teaching is to have my students speak where possible, as I feel this is key to learning any language more proficiently.

For the first lesson, I'd like to get a feel for your level of English and better understand your reasons and goals in learning English During my lessons, we can expand your vocabulary by talking about a variety of interesting and exciting topics. I will also make sure to correct all of your mistakes, as we learn together by exchanging fun and interesting ideas. I have also helped a number of students complete their homework. I have taught people of all ages, and from all around the world. I absolutely love what I do!

Look no further, Kati is the BEST teacher ever! I’ve had a few teachers on italki and she is incredible. My English has improved so much over the last few months with her. I am fully prepared for my up coming IELTS exam. I HIGHLY recommend having classes with Kati, she is patient and has the best accent! She explains things slowly, and clearly.
