I believe Ms. Carol's lesson's will improve over time. I feel like the lessons we took were not really tailored for a child as requested. A message was sent suggesting that there be less talking in English and more Shona. Now, there is too much conversing in Shona without explaining what she is saying. Props/slides would have been helpful but neither were used today or in the 2 previous classes. I feel like her lessons need more content and structure. Additionally, 12 minutes of class time was taken up today for writing which could have been given for homework instead.

Carol teaches me in minutes what it would take me months to learn at a language school. She also explains in a very simple and patient way. It's like she opens my mind and puts the information there.
