Hi! My name is Amanda and I am an English and Portuguese teacher from Brazil. I am very passionate about the language learning process, and I speak Portuguese, English and Spanish. I am also currently learning French. I believe learning new languages opens up a whole world of possibilities and ways of viewing life. Oi! Meu nome é Amanda e eu sou uma professora de Inglês e Português no Brasil. Eu sou apaixonada por aprender outras línguas e outras culturas, e eu falo Português, Inglês e Espanhol. No momento, eu estou aprendendo Francês. Eu acredito que aprender novas línguas abre um universo de possibilidades e formas de ver o mundo.

I have a degree in English and Translation Studies from UFRGS, in Brazil, and I have been teaching English and Portuguese for the past seven years, in both schools and to private students. My students have ages that go from little infants in their oralization process up to adults, with several different levels of language knowledge and goals. Eu sou formada em Inglês e Tradução pela UFRGS, e venho dando aulas há mais de sete anos, em escolas e para alunos particulares. Meus alunos tem idades que variam desde bebês no processo de oralização em pré-escolas, até adultos, com diversos níveis de conhecimento prévio e objetivos.

I believe that each person has their own style of learning and try to adapt my teaching to each specific student's abilities and their goals. I provide my own material, but I also work with materials found online. Eu acredito que cada pessoa tem sua forma de aprendizado, e tento adaptar as minhas aulas para cada aluno em particular, considerando suas habilidades e objetivos. Eu forneço meu próprio material, mas também utilizo materiais encontrados online.

Great first class! It's nice that Amanda speaks multiple languages. We were able to draw comparisons and switch languages to better grasp Portuguese vs Spanish and French.
