I have been teaching private lessons around quite a time now and I am currently in University (2020) studying "Letras", that is equivalent to a Linguistic course, in this case with a specialisation in English and Portuguese, I don't believe in "learn grammar method", so let's talk and be free to grow your languages skills first to communicate and express yourself and with that you can develop even more your skills. Our lessons will be very practical and between the Activities, the main thing is speak as much as We can and based in your Portuguese level, I will give different kind of lessons, activities and homework that you can practice your writing, reading and listening.
- Reading something together and try solve the nuances of the text;
- Learn about the different kind of accents;
- Specific vocabulary, (for people that need to study some topic or for example, for a job);

I have tried 4 teachers on iTalki so far and Richard was the best! Seriously, I want to speak com esse garoto todos os dias :D He has that kind of life energy and superboas vibracoes that are hardly described through simple review, but if you are not sure if the class with him is worth it, you should definitely go for it! I will do it 100% in the future. Richard, muito obrigada pela nessa aula contigo e tambem pelo nosso lindo cordel, me diverti muito :)

An other great lesson with Richard! Even though I was tired, and I felt much less productive than in the previous class, he remained patient with me, and we had a pretty nice conversation, once again. Talking to him is like talking to a friend, he creates such a relaxed atmosphere.

Richard is very personable and has a great personality. He is very easy to understand with his perfected enunciation skills. He has more of a neutral Brazilian accent which is favorable for those who wish to learn the language.

The first lesson was very good. He pointed me in the correct direction to start learning Portuguese more effectively. I will definitely be going back.
