I’m a language learner myself, just started learning my 2nd foreign language that is Spanish. So I’ve been in your shoes and able to see struggles learners can have. Before I became fluent in English, I experimented with many things that concern language learning, tried what works and what doesn’t. Though not a professional teacher, I have been studying foreign languages most of my life, so I know how difficult it is when you start learning a new language and exploring a new culture. The main thing is not to lose hope and give up when faced with such new and difficult challenges.

I know Russian is not an easy language to learn, but I also know why many people do prefer to learn Russian. For me, Russian is not just about vocabulary and grammar, listening, and essays. The Russian language is huge geography, a great history, great literature, a multi-ethnic population, a variety of traditions, and surprisingly rich culture. At the moment I am teaching General Russian and Business Russian. I prepare students for traveling and communicating with foreigners or moving to a Russian-speaking country. For those who study Business Russian my short-term goal is to give them enough knowledge to effectively communicate with their business partners, prepare for a job interview or get ready to start working in an international company. I want to encourage my students to use Russian more in their everyday activities such as watching movies, reading newspapers, listening to music in Russian. All this will contribute to their further personal development and broaden their horizons.

I started my career as a private tutor and then taught English to teenagers at a private language school while working on my master’s. I then realized that I’d love to teach Russian as a foreign language too so I signed up for a special course at my alma mater. Then I taught English and Russian at a university and I also have experience of teaching corporate clients. At the moment I’m working at a language training centre and as a private teacher.

I belive that the best way to learn a new language is to speak it. My students are teenagers and adults. I pay attention to every sphere of language such as pronunciation, grammar and lexical material. I'm always pleased to know about my students' success in moving to a new country, finding a new job and friends. They speak new language and feel confident in their new life.
