Languages are my favorite hobby. I study them everyday, and can relate the struggle to improve your skills. In addition to using my language learning experience, I also draw on my previous years of experience teaching different people of different ages and with different English levels. If you are still having trouble understanding spoken English I can help you improve your listening and your pronunciation as well as speak to you in your language, if I speak it, to explain the details to help you learn faster. That said, my main goal is to talk with you in English and make adaptable lessons to help you learn better and faster.

Through years of teaching Korean, I have learned fun and interactive classes is one of the most important aspects of learning, since things are more easily remembered in a fun learning environment. I also believe that using words and phrases that students have learned recently helps significantly in integrating those words into their repertoire. I am very proud of my students, most of whom have shown a lot of progress in this area. One of the main goals in learning a language is to speak it, which is why I also put a lot of effort into encouraging sentence construction and speaking.

Although I do not speak English very well but If you decide to study with me, I will do my very best to teach you what you want to know. 저도 외국어를 공부해 봐서 알지만 무겁고 딱딱하게 공부하면 문법 생각에 말문이 트이지 않고 긴장해서 알던 말도 안 나오는 경우가 많았습니다. 저는 수업을 통해서 편안하게 즐겁게 학생분들께 되도록 한국어를 많이 사용하시게 하면서 성취감을 느낄 수 있는 수업을 하고 싶습니다.

I always try to be a supportive and attentive teacher. I help my students enjoy learning Korean and also achieving their goals. I communicate with my students not only in class but also out of my class to share useful information regarding Korean studying via mobile messenger app. It helps my students having more input of the target language.

I have 5 years of teaching on Italki and extra 2 years of teaching experience outside this platform. Hence I have plentiful of teaching experience for those who are both beginner and advance level students. I like to have casual, FUN lessons through conversations in Korean and learning new vocabulary/grammar, etc. My lessons are based on what students need or want. (For those who prepare for Korean efficiency test i.e. Topik) I am not a strict teacher. A Korean who grew up and lived in Korean speaks the Korean language well. Even if a Korean speaks the Korean language well, all of them are not good at teaching the language. The reason is that, speaking the language and teaching it is different. So, I think the teaching skill is very important for teachers.
