I am an enthusiastic teacher who makes her best to spread positivity and eagerness in learning a new language. It needs to be fun and engaging! I love seeing on people's faces the satisfaction in their expression when they have just nailed something or just realised and absorbed something new. For me it's all about the process. I tend to focus on building a solid foundation, focusing on Italian dialect, grammar, vocabulary and fluency.

My professional experience comprehends children, adults and managers who study Italian for professional reasons. My teaching method is based on a comunicative approach, that allows the students to use actively the language since beginners level. You’re going to learn Italian with enthusiasm and motivation and every lesson you will improve and learn something new. We will work on all the aspects of the language: speaking, with pronunciation, fluency and intonation, listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary and everything you need! Moreover, If you are interested in Italian culture and art, I have a degree in History of Art and I will guide you through the wonders of Italy!

As a teacher I am very patient and understanding. I strongly believe that a friendly communication during lessons can do wonders. I always try to make students feel at ease, by creating an environment where there’s absolutely no need to feel afraid of making mistakes. My goal will always be to motivate my students to reach beyond their grasp, and remind them of their progress.

I think the most important part of teaching is human contact. I like to put my students in a comfortable and trusting environment. Also, it is essential that you talk: the more you speak, the more mistakes I can find and the more new expressions and pronunciation tips can be taught. I'm patient and friendly: the primary and most important reason to take this type of class is to find an opportunity to practice. Therefore, you need someone who is understanding, who you won’t feel embarrassed to talk with, especially if you are a beginner.

Mi piace utilizzare un documento condiviso google doc da usare come quaderno degli appunti. Con questo documento possiamo tenere traccia dei progressi dello studente e possiamo incollare articoli, immagini o slide utili per imparare la lingua. Posso conversare su praticamente qualsiasi cosa e utilizzo la conversazione come metodo informale per spiegare grammatica e concetti.

I share my students' excitement and satisfaction while succeeding in speaking their target language and this is highly rewarding and motivating for me! As a teacher and language learner myself, I know motivation is key to effective learning.

If there's one thing that gives me joy is talking about languages, their grammatical peculiarities, the culture they originate from and finding similarities with Italian. The only other thing that comes close is being able to communicate proficiently in a foreign language while learning something new in the process. Listening, repeating, speaking, practicing and writing are all key to the learning path and I'll commit to adjust our sessions to whatever method suits you the most.

As I said, I have a rather scientific approach to languages, but I am also convinced that it is necessary to enjoy the process of learning to have success. I believe that it is essential to both speak and listen to a language, but it is also undoubtedly useful to have somebody that can give you some tips and correct you if necessary, while having a good time. I used to tutor children and teenagers in their school years helping them with subjects such as Italian grammar and literature. I am actually pretty much into classical literature. I also helped many adults learning Italian, especially my fellow East European and Arab immigrants. Since I've been on italki I've realized how much I missed doing this, and how much I love it! I still do not have any particular qualitication as a teacher (but it's actually in my plans) so I don't have the pretension to teach to an academic level. However, I do have a lot of experience, both live and online, and I do speak both languages on a native level, using them everyday in school, work and personal life.

I'm not a strict teacher, I just want to help you improve your italian without stress. I would like to make you talk fluently and teach you idiomatic expressions and correct your accent. Moreover, I think that being able to read and comprehend a text can be very useful if you want to travel to Italy. I don't focus on grammar (even if the grammar is always present when we talk and read)but I can help in case of doubts.

I have been teaching for years, inspired by my mum's work (teaching is a family thing :) As a child I used to listen to my mum teaching and that's how I soon realized that was my cup of tea as well! :D I am very patient and smiley. I love the power of words and I speak very clearly, using a large variety of words. Moreover, I am very good at telling tales and get people involved into the magic and charm of the Italian language and culture :)

I graduated from Università Statale di Milano in 2013 in "Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures". After university, I obtained a 1st Level Master in "Promoting and Teaching of Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners". In 2013 I was an intern at the Italian department of Kennesaw State University, USA. My Master’s final project was published as an article in an specialized Italian LS/L2 magazine. After my Master, I had many teaching experiences, also with Individuals with learning disabilities, both in Italy and in the USA. I worked in Pennsylvania as a Teaching Assistant for the elementary, intermediate and advanced Italian language and culture classes at Bucknell University, Lewisburg.
