Learning a new language is always an exciting journey, but also quite scary: you start exploring a new context and a new culture opens before your eyes; on the other hand, especially at the beginning, people get frustrated, because they feel that they are not getting any better, so they stop enjoying the process of learning. As far as I can, my goal is to speak just in Italian, from the first lesson. I want Italian to become our medium, forgetting English or Persian. Of course, particularly if you are a beginner, we can use other languages if you need.

I have been teaching Italian for three years to students of all ages. Since May 2019 I am also a CELI examiner so I can help you in preparing a certification exam (not only CELI but also CILS and PLIDA).

Le mie esperienze hanno avuto luogo in diversi contesti di apprendimento e con diverse tipologie di studenti: da principianti ai livelli più avanzati. Il mio obiettivo è rendere l'apprendimento un attività entusiasmante e allo stesso tempo mirata a soddisfare gli obiettivi prefissati dai miei studenti, con attività a 360° che coprano tutta la competenza comunicativa. My experiences took place in different learning contexts and with different types of students: from beginners to the most advanced levels. My goal is to make learning an exciting activity and at the same time aimed at meeting the objectives set by my students, with activities at 360 ° that cover all communication competence.

MY TEACHING STYLE I’m an easy-going and friendly teacher: I like to create an informal and relaxed environment to support my students’s learning process! I have great communication skills and I'm a creative person: I constantly update on new materials to use in my lessons.

I believe that learning a new language is a long journey that leads us to a new version of ourselves. For this reason, it's important to choose who'll be your guide and mentor. I see myself as an empathic guide and a good listener, always committed to helping my students reaching their language goals and overcoming their difficulties. I care about my students feelings and moods as I understand how difficult learning a new language can be. For this reason, my goal is to make the learning process stimulating and funny. I'm committed to motivating my student in every class through engaging activities and stimulating materials.

I am very well organised and I am adaptable, I've always enjoyed working with various types of students with different motivations for learning: I centre my work on the needs and abilities of the students, my approach and methods adapt from time to time to the learning style and needs of the student, that's why the trial lesson is so important: to know each other and to plan the whole course. I always try to have fun during my lessons, because if I'm bored, the students are bored too. So I always propose new, interactive and attractive materials, I love using videos, songs, newspaper articles and multimedia applications for language learning.

Sono una docente qualificata di italiano come lingua straniera, ho molte esperienze in giro per il mondo con grandi e piccoli. Ho una laurea triennale in Mediazione Linguistica e Culturale, con lo studio di inglese e spagnolo, successivamente ho scelto di specializzarmi in Didattica dell'Italiano a Stranieri e ho ottenuto la certificazione Ditals. Tramite la mia università, Università per Stranieri di Siena, ho avuto l'opportunità di fare esperienze lavorative all'estero: a Boston in una middle school, a Londra con adulti dipendenti della banche HSBCe SwISS bank, a Città del Guatemala e a Buenos Aires presso gli Istituti Italiani di Cultura, in Turchia e a Melbourne.

Personally, I believe in the effectiveness of informal learning, which is why I mainly focus on colloquial speech, common expressions, idioms, trying to establish a relationship as equal as possible to learn from each other through the process of knowledge. I like to listen just as I have no trouble telling and sharing my personal ideas and experiences. I am precise and I pay close attention to the individual training needs of the learner, committing myself to preparing material adapted to his needs from time to time.

La mia prima esperienza lavorativa è stata a Siena, dove ho vissuto durante gli anni della mia formazione, laureandomi in Mediazione linguistica e culturale e poi in Didattica dell'italiano a stranieri presso l'Università per Stranieri di Siena. A Siena ho insegnato nel contesto migratorio, dopodiché ho continuato ad insegnare in Germania, lavorando con adulti e bambini, e con studenti universitari in Polonia. Attualmente vivo e lavoro in Germania come insegnante d'italiano per studenti di tutte le età.

As a teacher I try to understand personal needs of every single student. I like to use interactive materials and bring fun to the lesson. Very important to me is also to dissolve the initial fear of speaking of students and I encourage them to speak from the very beginning. I have teaching experience with kids, teenagers and adults. I have been teaching English and Italian for 6 years and I would like to teach you these beautiful languages. Just because teaching is my passion!

Insegno italiano da 3 anni in una scuola privata a Perugia e da 5 anni come tutor privato: ogni giorno vengo a contatto con studenti di ogni nazionalità. Sono appassionato di lingua e letteratura, e mi piacerebbe parlarne anche con te, se vuoi. Possiamo anche parlare di grammatica, costruire insieme frasi o decostruirle. Quando non conosco qualcosa, te lo dico e sarà mia premura arrivare preparato la lezione successiva.

In 2012, in Curitiba, Brazil, I opened my own school, Corso Brancaleone, where I offered language courses in which, since the first lesson – even for beginners – we followed collaborative study paths on Italian art and history. It was a great experience that made me meet so many people interested in going beyond the common language lessons. Through the programs Italiano+Arte and Italiano+Storia you can learn Italian and at the same time follow a discovery journey into italian history and/or art history. Working with images, maps and videos, we can explore Italy’s fascinating events and cultural heritage while mastering the italian language.

Ho il Diploma della scuola Dilit IH, il Diploma CEDILS dell'Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia; i crediti universitari per insegnare nella scuola pubblica, sono un esaminatore CELI.... ....ma soprattutto sono un'insegnante che riesce ad instaurare un clima rilassato e informale con gli studenti, amichevole, ma professionale.

CREO EMPATIA CON LO STUDENTE. SONO PIUTTOSTO ESIGENTE MA ALLO STESSO TEMPO GRATIFICANTE SE C'E IMPEGNO, COSTANZA E SERIETA'. CREDO CHE UN INSEGNANTE DEBBA AVERE ANCHE COMPETENZE PEDAGOGICHE. E' MOLTO IMPORTANTE CONOSCERE LA PROPRIA MATERIA MA ANCORA DI PIU' SAPERLA INSEGNARE. UN BUON INSEGNANTE DEVE AVERE ANCHE UN'INTELIGENZA EMOTIVA ED E' QUESTO CHE FA LA DIFFERENZA. I ALSO HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE TEACHING ENGLISH IN ITALIAN SCHOOLS, PARTICULARLY IN TEACHING LANGUAGES TO DYSLEXIC STUDENTS.

About my teaching strategy: Personally, I prefer to start with key words and sentences you will actually need in real life situations and then expand your knowledge with grammar rules and vocabulary. The inspiration for this job came to me while I was a volunteer in Peru, in a small school in the Andes. There, I realized that I enjoyed learning other languages and that I could help others to do so, as I could speak about languages for hours! Since I started working I have never stopped! I looked for and found work in Italy, France and Romania, in different schools and international institution, like the Istituto italiano di cultura og Bucharest.

Sono un'insegnante paziente e cerco di mettermi nei panni degli studenti, mi piace lasciare loro spazio di espressione e per me l'insegnamento è comunicazione bidirezionale. I'm patient and I try to put myself in the shoes of my students, I let them express themselves. My idea of teaching is mutual communication.

Sono una persona capace di ascoltare e che riconosce l'importanza dei feedback e delle correzioni, senza però che queste ultime diventino un limite affinché la comunicazione avvenga. Cerco di capire quali sono i desideri e le difficoltà dell'alunno (timidezza, scarsità di vocabolario...), per superarle assieme.

I have experience teaching since I was in school, as I was tutoring younger students in Maths and English. Later, after I moved to Australia, I started pairing with English native speakers to tutor each other in our respective languages. That's when I realised how much fun it was to teach and share my native language! I know that learning a foreign language is hard, for some harder than for others. I also know how standardised language tests can be and absolute nightmare. But remember that every time you take action by reading an article in Italian, watching an Italian movie, or by attending a class, you make a step forward. Be proud of yourself and keep going!

Prima di essere un insegnante, sono una persona esattamente come te. Come te, ho dovuto anche io imparare una lingua nuova: so come ti senti e so che hai paura di sbagliare. Non ti preoccupare: è tutto normale. Capiremo insieme quali siano i tuoi obiettivi e il tuo punto di partenza e da lì costruiremo questa nuova lingua che hai scelto di imparare. Il mio obiettivo più grande come insegnante è sempre quello di regalare agli studenti l'abilità di essere sè stessi anche in un'altra lingua. Arrivare ad avere la stessa padronanza e sicurezza che si ha nella propria.
